Who wrote Spiderman 3?

I'm glad their getting a new writer, but the writer of horse racing movie, and a low key romance? ... =S Anyone else think that's a mistake?

why would it be a mistake.. he is a very good writer

Because I think the last thing Spidey fans want is romance movie between MJ and Peter, altho Spidey 2 was a great movie, the amount of screen time Ock got was 12 minutes I beleive, something like that.

He may beable to write, but I don't think for this audience type. ?? I dunno.

On that note, his writing is only good in opinion, I wasn't a fan of SeaBiscut, and Pleasantville was eh.

I guess it's all what your into... 🤨

who even said this person was going to turn Spidey 4 into a romantic film??? Besides eventually Parker and MJ will get romantic anyway, but that doesn't mean there will be romance in this film... Also who is to say that there wasn't romance before this person was hired to re write part of the script???

In the twelve minutes or so that Doc Ock was in Spidey 2(I am not even sure anyway as I don't worry about that) Doc Ock was very good and Alfred Molina gave a good performance

Haha, oh boy, you completely don't understand where I'm coming from at all. I said nothing about performances being good or bad, nevermind =)

Obviously went right over your head what I'm trying to say, maybe I speak bad English or something. yah know, being as I came from England and live in the USA now. 🙄 😆 🙄

Ok let me kinda explain : I didn't say he WOULD turn it into anything, and yes I know there will be romance, of course there will.

What I'm saying is its like taking someone who plays Tennis for a living, the top in there class, world famous, and then throwing them into a Hockey game and saying there a world famous athlete, so they will be just as good as hockey.

There are different writing styles, some people are good at romance, some good at action. Spidey fans want more action than romance... Get my drift yet............. Prolly not.. 😕

i understand completely since i have friends in england but that is neither here nor there..

no one truly knows why this man is re writing this script.. whether it is for more action and or romance..

He's probably going to put a bit more depth to the story and if its good enough might get noticed by the Academy.

I doubt a Spiderman movie will be recognized by the Academy, unless it's for a special effects or something on that level.

Well anything possible with these superhero movies if they try and do something a bit more with the story.

Well we can all only hope the storyline is better than SP3. That was a disaster.

I wouldn't say it was a total disaster, just that the inclusion of Eddie Brock didn't help considering he was just there to be there, and added nothing to the story. Another thing I think that didn't help was making Sandman a "relatable" villain, but Church was still great.

There's 2 things spiderman 4 needs to be successful

1) A good villain

2) A good storyline (this includes script and writer)

For SM-4 to make a large amount of money, the script has to be on par with the first two movies or better. I hope it is because I want this franchise to go out with a bang and if the third & fourth movie are no good, then that'll have said it all about the fifth movie.

i agree with both you guys

A good villain and storyline is required for any action movie to be successful, and I just hope Raimi does a good job in those two departments.

i think he will.. he knows all of the mistakes from 3, so i think he will do a much better job this time around

Well, I still wish he'd go ahead and reveal who the villain(s) will be.

I'm sure that's the news that everybody is anticipating the most.

It is, and honestly, I lost a little bit of hype after finding out Papajon was cast again. I'm really not all that hyped for SM-4 with the lack of news.

Yeah, we really need to get some news on the movie. I'm sure Raimi wants to keep most of the information a secret from the public, but he should at gives us a decent piece of news each month.

I'm okay with just about anything they choose to do in Spidey 4 as long as it's more like Spidey I & II than it is III. Lordy, Spidey III was a turd burger.

As for villains, I like 'em better when they're kept in the fantastic-yet-believable realm (well, "believable" in the Spider-verse, anyway). Doc Ock, Goblin, Sandman, they were fine, but Venom having the same origin as the Blob (the Sci-fi movie Blob, not Fred J. Dukes)? I know that's a riff the comic origin, but I think it might have played better in the movie if the symbiote was man-made science gone wrong (maybe a glitched experiment of Dr. Connors?).

I'm not sure he could carry the whole movie, but the take on Kraven from the Ultimate universe (reality TV star hunting Spidey) was pretty entertaining...maybe that could work? Though--with him probably not being a strong enough character to help carry the film--a second villain would be needed, and I think it hurts the film when they cram in too many baddies.

I know, I should be the villain in the next Spidey movie.

*punts Ms. Lion into traffic*

Haha, VENGEANCE IS MINE!
