Near Gettysburg, however, an electric car, driven by an environmentalist, is accompanying a couple of bikes, ridden by workers disenchanted by the labor policies of the human-run Republican state government. Diandra stops by there with the campaign bus.
Environmentalist 1: What would you do to encourage the purchase of electric and hybrid cars?
Diandra: I would promise a dual reformation of tax regulations concerning car acquisitions. 1: tax the cars that consume more than 12 liters per 100 kilometers...
Environmentalist 2: But saying that taxing cars that consume more than 12 L/100 kms sound like if you were to enforce more than mere taxes over cars that consume too much fuel!
Diandra: I assume I want to have car manufacturers supply fuel consumptions in both miles per gallon and liters per 100 kms so we can accommodate both the metric and the Imperial systems. But the taxation of such cars is 15% of the cost of the car after the taxes. You can take it as being above a fuel consumption of either 19.5 miles per gallon or 12 liters per 100 kilometers. One more thing about electric and hybrid cars: a tax credit equal to 7,5% of the cost of the car.
Environmentalist 3: I may work for a business that generates little pollution, but the business make me work 45 hours a week without a 50% bonus for overtime work!
Diandra: This is another promise: above 35 hours a week, every hour you do after that limit will have the 50% bonus for overtime work.
Environmentalist 4: I heard the Green Party would do all of the above, but the Green Party's focus is only environment. At least, you, the Citizen Option, are not only supporting that the U.S. should also sign the Kyoto Treaty, but you have a program that covers every other issue. Then, what would you do for the PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION?
Diandra: Some tax credits for public transportation tickets will also apply.
