Storm, if you can copy a persons abilities, you nullify them by becoming there equal. It's the same as having a character that can analyze a persons abilities and facilitate a nullifier. Copying a persons abilities automatically nullifies their advantage.
then why should you have the characters who are at a advantage? copying/mimicing a person only equals the playing field. no one is it a disadvantage or advantage, the playing field is just equal.
how about we leave in the ones that are there but ban anyone else from taking a copycat character?
since everyone is limited to only copying one power it doesn't really tip the odds (except Mimic who only gets half the strength and none of the experience anyway)
say Gideon copies Sebastian Shaw, figures out he's more vulnerable to energy attacks.... so what.... he doesn't have any energy weapons to attack with.... and as Shaw and his team already know that that's his weakness, as soon as he copies Shaw, Grail can blast him in the face and take him out
I don't think it's that big a deal..... as long as they stick to only copying one power
Storm, you're clearly missing my point. And also, since Mimic only gains 50% of the power, i have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is characters like Adaptoid and Gideon who are going to sire the "I copy your characters abilities and know your weaknesses" arguments, because that is part of their abilities.

which still isn't a huge advantage anyway, it's only one character, one power. youyr making a HUGE deal out of nothing. the whole thing is still fair. and as far as i was concerned and have read, the whole analyzing ability on anyone was automatically disabled. they should still be able to copy, just not analyze and figure out weaknesses.

Do you know what Gideons powers are?

Look how much time has been spent negotiating, because members want characters who copy or mimic powers. Having to limit the number, saying which ones are out - probably should have been banned from the start.

15 adaptoids each with the power of ironman if he gets double powers.if adaptoid copies multiple man--there will be many adaptoids.
then each one of the adaptoids copy ironman--or one copies ironman and they in turn copy eachother for example.. like lp has chosen
adaptoid can only copy one power at a time... if he creates 15 copies of himself then switches power they all disappear... that's why we made sure they could only do one power at a time
God damn, 22 pages in a couple of hours.
Hmm... Power copying was a subject of debate during the planning phase, but ultimately was approved, in limited amounts. Mind/experience copying had not been addressed however, and so I think it IS fair if Gideon and vintage Super-Adaptoid, and possibly Duplicate Boy, are put to a vote now. I'll also remind everyone that telepathy such as mind reading AND body swapping are both banned. Neither would fall directly into either category, but are very similar to both, in certain ways. (Taskmaster and Echo work differently... They see something and copy it physically, but do not copy the knowledge of when to apply it and such)
Alrighty then... Mind and experience piracy gets a yes or no. LP, KVD, and possibly BW are not to be counted in this vote, as they have drafted the picks in question. Go to it youngn's.
And to BW... Would Duplicate Boy be able to copy abilities as well as powers? If yes, he qualifies for the impending vote. If not, he's safe, but very susceptible to CIS.
And ah yes, Composite Man. He's a no no, because he is actually getting neutered, while LP wants an older version of Adaptoid, who only COULD copy 1 power at a time. Other than that, the rest are already limited to taking one power set at a time.
