Should not the thread be about suicide by cop ?

It looks like thats what the teenager was looking for and thats what he got considering the modified pellet gun.

Why didnt SWAT use flash-bangs or stun-grenades ?

3 words for you....

Trigger happy hicks....

Unless you're a fireman.

I think you mean 'taut', unless you're referring to the fact it was in a school...

I did mean 'taut', thanks.

It's not often I make mistakes, so it's good to see people making the effort to correct me when I'm wrong. Thank you so much VVD 🙂

I am not so sure about that either.

I do believe that once threatened, members of the SWAT should have responded.

What needs to be seen into is why did SWAT give themselves the opportunity to be in a potentially dangerous situation such as having a gun aimed at them.

This may trigger the blatantly obvious reply that SWAT's job is to purposely walk into situations like these, yet we know that these tactical teams are in possesion of the finest defense equipment the Government provides.

They have ballistic shields, armoured vehicles, stun guns, telescopic periscopes, flash bombs, bean bags...etc.

I think this is more down to a haphazardly taken decision situation.

Thanks?

😂

Sorry, I don't take it too well when someone corrects me 😮

I was going to say "Don't make a big deal out of it, you made the mistake. Not him." but I figured you'd make a big deal out of THAT too, so I said nothing 🙂.

Easy error to make; homophone mix-ups are usually typos.

Yeah. So, shooting kids. What a load of old rubbish.

To raise a question: If not guns, what does everyone believe ALL police should be armed with? Bearing in mind they MUST have an instant means of incapacitating a target.

Yeah, but it has a enough extra letters that I should have clicked. I even know the difference, it's not like I made an ignorant mistake. Just a blind one 😮

Wow, they shot a kid with a gun although they were informed that it was fake. As if anybody can just aim and hit by default. But yeah, this was such a dangerous threat that they didn't have to use maybe a gas canister or some other alternative.
They panicked but still killed the dangerous terrorist kid. Thank god..

This takes me back to the seventies when the army sniped down protesting teens at a university because they had stones and were willing to use them.
Of course there will always be excuses for just going to the last resort but it will never fool a sane person.

I seem to recall we were never informed of the entire story...

I don't know what the media tells people in America, but if everyone indicates that the people throwing stones were such a distance away from the snipers then I have no reason to doubt it, although every government likes to cover up sticky stuff simular to this.

I mean, the guy who actually shot the kid, did he know the gun was a fake?

Only AFTER the shooting did they realise it was a 9mm replica modified pellet gun.

Exactly. Nobody can say "Well they should have found out first."

When? After the kid had possibly put a cap in one of their heads?

I agree 😬
