Sin City was a ****ing great movie I hope that the sqeual will live up up the first one that was made.

Yes, it's happening. Frank Miller's writing another book involving Nancy so they can get Jessica Alba to return. They plan on adapting the second book, involving Dwight, and having Marv return with a short story about him in one of the later books.

Which is why I never started a thread on it. Anyway, the 2nd is coming and I'll be there 1st day waiting to see it. I am normally against sequels for movies but I think there is little room for error with this. I don't see it being bad unless one of the story's totally awful. Since they are continuing from the last one (of sort) I doubt it'll be bad.

I've heard of Johnny Depp being involved?

That is really old news. I also heard that Salma Hayek(sp?) may be in it. Rodriguez is a big fan of hers.

Filming this month?! Didn't Tarantino say they were expect to start filming Grindhouse early this year? I know Sin City has barely anything to do with Tarantino but Rodriguez and Tarantino are working on this project together. I wonder if Grindhouse has been pushed back a bit? Or maybe Tarantino will film his part of Grindhouse now and wait for Rodriguez to finish his? Whatever the outcome Rodriguez is going to be booked this year.

u guys do know that sin city 2 takes place before sin city 1. a dame to kill for took place after the yellow bastard storyline. this is pryor dwights plastic surgery. and this is like 8 years before the the hard goodbye and big fat kill

they are making a sequel but its based on graphic novels Miller did years ago.. no new material was needed to 'lure' alba back..

they are doing a dame to kill for & others..
