I was under the impression that Burke fell in love for who Christina was -flaws and all. So it was no secret who she really was. It was just this wedding thing that really seem to capitalize on that. He wanted a big wedding and everything, she wanted a quickie in front of the judge thing. But because she loved him, she went along with what he wanted, which I thought was nice. So, I really don't see where the whole he wanted her to be a certain way applies.

Spoiler:
new 05/22 - I've now heard from various reliable sources that Isaiah has been taking meetings in New York and Los Angeles in search of a new job that would take place during the coming TV season, so it certainly appears that Isaiah's Grey's days are over. Insiders at ABC tell me "not everyone will be coming back" to Grey's this fall, and although T.R. Knight's fate was also left hanging in the balance after the season finale, I'm hearing that he's gonna be back but like I said, Isaiah looks to be a goner. Source: Kristin on E!Online

I don't believe that

Isaiah Washington was fired. T.R. Knight is returning and going to make nearly as much money as Ellen Pompeo. Its sad Mr. Washington was fired because he is such a talented actor. I hope he will get on another show.
Yeah that's what I heard on The Insider.
Isaiah Washington Off 'Grey's'
After a controversial season, ISAIAH WASHINGTON will not be returning to the cast of "Grey's Anatomy," ABC Studios confirmed to "The Insider.""I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more," Washington said in a statement released by his publicist, HOWARD BRAGMAN.
The actor had expected to return to the hit ABC drama next season. "We fully expect to be back in the fall," Bragman told the Associated Press last month.
"The deal's not done," he added. "But we have no reason to believe he won't be putting on the scrubs."
Viewers were left with uncertainty as to the fate of both Isaiah and T.R. KNIGHT during this season's cliffhanger ending. Washington walked out on his wedding, while Knight failed to pass his intern exam and was uncertain he would continue at the hospital.
Washington has had a tumultuous time on the set of the hit ABC show. Earlier in the year, he sought counseling for anti-gay slurs he made during the Golden Globes awards and on the "Grey's" set regarding castmate T.R. Knight. He also met with gay community leaders and issued a public apology.
I think this is horrible. I don't think that this was worth him being fired over. He did his job well. And he did apologized, went to counseling, etc. I don't know what more he could have done. He bent over backwards for them.
