He basically took the idea and ran with it.

Eli Roth is no stranger to "taking" things, as evidenced in "Cabin Fever". Plan on seeing this for myself with absolutely no expectations.

As far as the QT factor, it's basically "Hero" all over again. He's presenting/producing the film, which loosely means he's opened his wallet to Roth in some form, be it promotion (use of his name), or funding the project.

Yep. I'll go see it too, I'm sure. I'm just expecting a kinda cool horror movie.

Hey CA, off topic, but did you ever get around to watching Cannibal Holocaust?

.Saw III. is all i'm gonna say.

Recent conversations with a friend of mine and frequent visits to various horror forums and websites such as www . diehostel . de and bloodydisgusting, we discovered this website that the film HOSTEL is based on.

BE WARNED IT IS VERY GRAPHIC AND POTENTIALY DISTUBRING VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK. IT SHOWS PEOPLE IN VARYING STATES....

www . murderhostel . piczo . com YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Hostel the film is based on a real place in Germany where people can pay varying amount of money, to do anything to a human being, really ANYTHING... and if they do not have a victim they wish to kill or maim due to their twisted hearts desire. They can purchase a 'used' body to do with what they will. ONCE AGAIN VIEW THE WEBSITE AT YOUR OWN RISK, THEY ARE REAL PEOPLE IN THE PICTURES IT IS NOT ACTING.

P.S.

Quentin Tarrantino DID NOT MAKE THIS FILM, he mearly put his name on it so that it would be more widely recognised.

Pleasant Dreams :-)

- Borathorn

ppl wanted the URL.. but for until ur known u cant post stuff as a URL.. so just delete the spaces and checkout the website AT YOUR OWN RISK :-)

Quentin Tarantino according to Roth put a lot of input into the film script, going over the script and giving advice to Roth if needed before filming, making death scenes even worse than originally were in the script etc.

oh that pic looks so esoteric! 🙂

I actually really want to see this one. Thought Cabin Fever was alright. Now that Hostel has gotten great reviews so far, I have high hopes.

It gets released today, I REALLY lked saw 2, and heard the two were similar. N E one think it will live up to the media?

I haven't seen 'Hostel' yet, but I have a feeling that the moral outrage being espoused by many right-wing media outlets about this movie will prove to be nothing more than puritanical vitriol.

Exactly the opposite of what I heard.

Pretty sure I'll be seeing this today, sometime during the afternoon.

I think that scene alone is worth the prize of a ticket. This better be a Gorehounds delight! 😄

EDIT.

This is some freaky junk!
