I think Brosnan would not say no if they asked because he's still moaning about being replaced. I only liked Brosnan in the first two Bond films he did, the third one was not his fault really as the film was lacklustre and I haven't seen him in Die Another Day. I think its probably wise to retire the character anyway.

Brosnon was a fantastic bond in Goldeneye and Tommorow Never Dies. It was just the scripts that failed him in the other movies. I think Casino Royale suits Brosnons style, pity he wont be involved. But to say that he was a bad bond is nonsense.
I agree. I thought Brosnan was good. He was definitely the best-looking among all the Bonds. And who the Hell is Lazenby?
I don't think Brosnan would return as Bond. I think he's trying to let his career go in other ways. If Craig doesn't do good at all, they'll recast, probably with Clive Owen or Goran Visjnic. If he does just ok, they'll give him another shot in another movie. If that one is just ok, they'll probably recast, or if its worse, they'll recast. If it skyrockets - which it probably won't - they'll keep him.

I felt Dalton was the best in my opinion, more serious approach than the rest.
Just didn't have the flare that others have. I must admit though, his portrayal was the truest to the literary Bond...Roger Moore, I felt was the 2nd worst. He was just bond for way to long. I mean 15 years? That's a long, long time to play one character.

it was defenity wise of him to retire,he was the worst bond ever, except for lazenby of course. But yeah I bet he would return since he seemed so pissed about being replaced.
In my opinion, On her Majesty's Secret Service was the best bond movie ever made. The storyline was superb in my tastes.

The reason he was bond for so long was because other than Connery,he was the best Bond to play the part and excelled in the role.
I agree that Brosnan was one of the best Bonds out there. I think Lazenby and Moore were the worst. I also think that Dalton, if given a proper chance, would have been the best, seeing as he had a more gritty and realistic take towards Bond. But...we'll see how Craig does. I have little faith for him right now....
