since no1 is breakin ur laws by wearin scarfs u can't say that they don't want to follow ur laws as u ppl say u HAV religious freedom
I don't think it's against the law here in the US. to wear a head that stuff. Maybe at a school with an established dress code but most muslims can wear a burka and hijab if they want to. France is the only country that I'm aware of that has that law. I don't agree with it but it's their country.

n then u blame us fr not respectin ur religion which is a lie in itself
AAt least our lie doesn't tell us to get violent iff someone makes an offensive cartoon. Who's to say your religion isn't a lie, and if it is the truth how can you prove it?

either way they still hav bags on their heads n my point was that u can't criticize ppl fr doin things that u urselves do
That is only the catholic church that does that and I read that they don't do that any more.

But the difference is choice and not.........Catholic Nuns chose to as a form of worship in the church. Not the general public, unlike the women in Muslim counties who have no choice at all.

that wud only prove that they r hypocrites as they say they hav religious freedom but they don't let u follow ur religion n wear scarfs
The afghani people must be hipocrits because they say their form of islam is tolerant but they want to kill that guy. They probably let him go due to internationnal presure but the clerics said they would get people too kill him. http://worldnews.about.com/od/centralasia/a/abdul_rahman.htm The international community is placing pressure on Hamid Karzai's government to intervene on Rahman's behalf. Meanwhile, prominent clerics have declared that should the Afghan courts bow to Western pressure and release Rahman, "the people to pull him into pieces so there's nothing left."

Rahman's was turned into the police by his parents who had suspected him of converting.

Some are trying to get Rahman declared insane, a solution that would prevent him from having to stand trial and save his life. However, even that might not save Rahman from the actions of extremists bent on seeing the "God's justice" is done.

This the case is clearly the product of a system where rules and spheres of influence remain unclear. The Afghan constitution upholds the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but it also states that no law can contradict Islam. Afghanistan's president, Hamid Karzai, is pro-Western, but the judiciary is largely controlled by Islamic clerics.

They are goinng against the koran by wanting to kill him because there's not supposed to be any compulsion in religion, or has that been abrogated? If not would you explain how you can aprove of it?

maybe

Oops. Wrong post!

errrr i dont HAVE a relegion im a FORMER muslim. stop talkin about THEM and US. i was born and raised in pakistan just like you with a family with a very traditional mindset, i know what islam is all about and its nothing but BULLSHIT. and as far as the thing with clothes goes. u find it funny that people don buy full covering clothes when they have the money?{ofcourse the revealing ones cost a LOT more so keep that in mind before making simple minded remarks about stuff like that just cause idiotic parents or mullahs say that kinda crap cause of their ignorance} well i find it funny and SAD that yor mind will never know liberty enough to wear something revealing, fun, adventurous{and im not talkin about goin almost naked just looking GOOD and using the body that was MADE to be sexually active and when it isnt, its UNHEALTHY not to mention psychologically damaging} and sensuous, i also find it funny that ull spend most of ur life under sum1 be that ur parents or your abusive husband who your parents force u to marry or who u wouldnt date or know much at all even if it was your choice, i also find it funny that youll never develop individual thought, expression and a normal, fun, open minded and liberated personality, i also find it EXTREMELY funny that you question the lives of people who ARENT confined to their bullshit relegions and dogmas and find THAT funny which is only a psychological reaction to make yourself feal secure about what your doing.{n u only need that WHEN your not getting what is your natural right and freedom to get from birth}

It's racist, pure and simple
Bullshit, islam is not a race it is a religion but it's not just a religion it's a politicaal ideology. As a political ideology mohammed is a political figure and is open to satire. Some racists might use it that way but I don't think they meant it to be racist. It seems like the claim that something is racist is made too often, you could say something similar about any satire.

I think we lost our Muslim...... 😕

He was the only one we had

The ordeal of Abdul Rahman of Afghanistan is shared by many converts from Islam and poses the problem of Islam’s systematic violation of human rights. If Sharia kills a man who changes religion, it is to be condemned and cannot be the principle inspiring law, in that it destroys any ideal of coexistence and contradicts the UN declaration on human rights, approved in 1948 by almost all Muslim countries.

Rome (AsiaNews) – Abdul Rahman, the Afghan who converted from Islam to Christianity, was released from prison with a juridical ploy: deemed to be mentally unfit and thus incapable of undergoing trial, he was able to avoid the death penalty foreseen by sharia in the case of apostasy. But his ordeal is just one case in tens of thousands each year. In Egypt alone there are at least 10,000 Muslims who convert to Christianity each year.
Islam should not be seen as just another "peaceful" religion. It is not just a religion but a political ideology that is not compatible with human rights.
