BTW how was the actual fight itself?

Short. Blade lunged at Wolverine, and took a glancing blow to his chest. Wolverine let Blade stab him and walked down the sword. Wolverine asked Blade if he had a healing factor as he graced his checks with his claws and he fallowed up with a punch the send Blade flying across the room. Blade then fired a round into Wolverine's chest but didn't stop Wolverine from closing the gap. Blade punches Wolverine but from the look of it Wolverine rolled with the blow and got under Blades guard and pinned him. Wolverine is about to stab Blade when Blade pulls out a needle with vampire blood, which he plans to use to turn Wolverine into a vampire (at which point a stake to the heart will dust him). Blade pulls of Wolverine's mask and having gotten a good look at his face realises that Wolverine had saved his life once. Blade calls off the fighting stating that they where to evenly matched and it was a waste of a night to keep fighting... Wolverine doesn't push the matter since he presumably he still wanted the beer he was craving before Blade attacked him.

That's like music to my ears 🙂 Thanks S Rank 🙂

Wolverine escapes Shields custody. The Shield tacticians pegged Blade as having the best shot at taking Wolverine down:

I'd like to know what happened to Blade's healing factor in that fight? He has taken worse, which has healed a lot faster too. He got his back gutted by a "thing" in one storyline and in next few panels the wound disappeared.

Well Blades healing factor like Wolverine has it's low showings and its high showings. In some of the scans I posted above Blade was crucified and slashed up, but pulled his body looses and continued to fight. Marc Guggenheim is not doing his homework on Blade in this series. Hopefully he gets his act together, but it's still a good book other than the artwork. Chaykin sucks @ss.

Yeah, I was wondering what Mike Tyson was doing in the comic 😄

Still, it was fairly obvious that Blade didn't have any enahnced attributes in this fight. Well, not sure, but his healing factor was non existant. Exactly what Wolverine implied. He still had those scratches in the last meeting.

Funny though that it seemed like Wolverine was holding back during the fight. Bleh.

Blade's healing factor is usually pretty lame tame; he has taken a bullet in the shoulder and then gone of to get stitches before. There is a reason that Blade wears Kevlar and Wolverine and Deadpool don't. "What's the reason, S-Rank?" you ask? His healing factor is slow, faster then Caps or Spidys... but slow. Blade's healing factor isn't enough to be much help until after he is finished fighting.

But yet it has it's higher showings too. In one of the first of the comics where Blade is upgraded by the Morbius virus he doens't wear a kevlar, takes bullets, takes slashes, battles a huge ass monster. etc

Blades healing factor is slow compared to Wolverines. A wound that would take 3 weeks for a normal human to heal from would take Blade a day or so. It's more down to earth than Hulks or Wolverines.

It's described a minor regernative abilities.

Well, perhaps, but still that's quite a low showing for Blade's healing factor.I'm quite aware of that it's not as powerful as Wolverine's but, it should heal a scratch like that in no time.

And, why don't these guys mention anything about morbious? Aren't they aware that he is the source of Blade's superhuman stats?

No Guggenhiem retconned that.

I agree for the most part. I think it was more than a scratch though as Logans Claws had alot of blood on them. And about the Morbius thing I don't know if Marc didn't know that or is retconning it but I did send a email to Fang Mail regarding that subject. Sh!t it's been stated in handbooks and in a comic itself that Morbius' bite augmented Blades abilities.

I actually liked the fight between Wolverine and Blade and especially how it ended.

I don't think this was posted yet. Here is the infamous bite Morbius put on Blade:

Blade talks about the Morbious bite in issue 5. He says "See people think it altered me somehow. Not true. It gave me one hell of a mad-on though." Guggenheim retconned Blade's origins so that he always half vampire.

weird as it is i dont mind that being retconned, the mystique about blade is that he's a day walker..,all thier strentghs and none of thier weaknesses..tho he's officially super human and can lift about a ton or two, i wouldnt want him to be a powerhouse all of a sudden

Marvel vampires have never been that impressive so don't worry about it. 😉

The cover to Blade #8 looks interesting. His hand appears to be chopped off. Hannibal King appears also.

What happened is that Guggenhiem screwed up. That fight was a joke. Blade trying to inject vampire blood into a person? That's nonsense!

After reading issue #6 I now know how Blade looses his hand. Gotta say I am actually starting to enjoy this series even with the bad art. Finally we are seeing some of Blades past and get to see his father or potential father.

Actually that isn't nonsense. That's logically one of the few ways to actually take Wolverine out. Blade had Logan in a tight spot.
