why should he slow down? why shouldn't montoya take the innertrack in the corner instead? Why did he had to jump in front of Monteiro with barely any space between them and then start braking again? As you said, less downforce for Monteiro so imo, it's clearly Montoya's fault.

mixed opinions, then.
i'm not saying that he doesn't have a part of the fault.
i'm saying that it was an avoidable accident on monteiro's account.

we all know jpm's temper in overtakes...he didn't need to rush it....but monteiro should have slowed down.

I agree that it's avoidable, I very much disagree that it's solely monteiro's fault.

Yes, he should have braked more and faster but Montoya shouldn't have cut him off that close! if he left more room OR took the inner trajectory he wouldn't have gotten the crash

interesting race...a shame to se montoya blow 2nd place.....again.
didn't see the replay propperly so..i don't know whose fault it was.

a very sad race if u ask me. its a real pity we couldnt get to see the incident involving montoya and pizzonia. i think that pizzonia's the one to blame since he switched to dry weather tyres. I find it very stupid that he shifted to dry weather tyres in the last part of the race when every one else was staying on intermediates.

actually there were quite a few switching on dry tires at the last pit....
i think barrichello did it too.....he had only 4 more laps to go, though

you can't blaim it on the tyres.

haven't seen it myself but since Pizz's left tyre got hit, I would think that the same thing happened to Montoya as last (?) time: getting back on the good side of the road too quickly, slamming into the car he was passing

it's possible..i couldn't say.
i guess there'll be plenty of comments on the subject...we'll see their point of view.
anyway...it's a shame because they could have had a 10 pts lead in constructors at the end of the race.
i'm sure they'll win it in the end but these events are really annoying.

if it pleases you to know: Pizzonia has to pay a $ 8 000 fine to the FIA for causing the accident

😂 😛
yes....it does please me, actually.
a grand for every point montoya lost

well it's settled. alonso is world champ.
but McLaren are first in constructors at the moment. and hopefully till the end.
oh well...that's that. next time.

thanks dexx, I still had to see the bloody race 😠

oh..i only caught the last 18 laps or so. the bastards changed the channels...

those damn commies!

THere are too many damn rule changes that I dont like which are also very stupid like not being able to change tires

each of those rules had a purpose behind it.....leading to improving the entertainment. unfortunately..they weren't thoroughly processed...
and they are not suitable for such a level of performance.

what's more worrying is the engine capacity limitation...that starts as of next year. V8s...it's ridiculous..

man..this was the best race of the season....better yet... best race i've ever seen.

'Kimi Raikkonen will land one title this season - having the worst personality in Formula One.

'Colder than a night in Lapland, Finland’s dullest person has few redeeming features, with one clear exception.

'This boy knows how to drive a racing car. Raikkonen delivered one of F1’s great comebacks yesterday, thrashing through the field from 17th on the starting grid before overtaking leader Giancarlo Fisichella on the last lap to win the Japanese Grand Prix.

'This was the race of the season. Arguably the best for a few years, with a 165,000 crowd at one of the world’s finest circuits treated to a breathtaking display of bravery and sheer guts from the Ice Man. Raikkonen was so pleased afterwards, he nearly smiled – Charlie Wyatt, The Sun.

and of course I missed it 🙄

man..i need to download the recording, or something....

or how about getting Romania to join the A1 with you as pilot? 😉
