That's called a human mutate. Marvel "mutant" term is reserved for people with X-gene, to be precise 🙂

Thanks for the post! But ouch, am I the only one who strongly disagrees with the ratings for fighting skills and intelligence?

Cap is the greatest leader and field tactical mastermind in all of comics, surely that falls under intelligence? If it doesn't then at the very least fighting skills should be maxed.

Even if it doesn't, fighting skills should still be maxed regardless due to his h2h ability. As demonstrated in this thread.

Isn't the difference between fighting skill 6 and 7 just one of diversity, 6 being absolute master of one or two martial arts, 7 being master of all martial arts?
If i recalled it correctly, then it's ok to give Steve "only" a 6 and not a seven. It would not mean he'd have to loose against someone rated 7, since his one or two style mastery could still be superior to the mastery of any of the multiple styles of the character rated 7.

According to Marvel you can know less martial arts and still be a better fighter.

Wasn't that what i said? 😉

Wasn't Steve maxed out in fighting skill in all the past databooks?

why the hell they downgraded him?

anyway, marvel handbooks have never been accurate with their power levels, they're only useful for general info and bios

Beg your pardon, but that is accurate.

Quality over quantity after all.

It's actually not a real downgrade. 7 means having mastered all martial arts, which Steve never had. He's a superior master of on or two martial arts, which qualifies him as a level 6 fighter. The actual difference between 6 and 7 is only one of quantity, not of quality. If a level 6 fighter is better in his special martial arts than the level 7 fighter in any of his numerous ones, he will be superior despite being "only" a 6.
😉

He was adept at every form of fighting before he got froze originally and it's pretty safe to say that he got better after joining the Avengers. A 7 fits, a 6 doesn't. It's either a mistake or downgrade, I'm betting it's the former because that bio's wrong about several other things as well.

Cap has mastered every form of figthing? That's completely new to me. Sure, i'm far from being a specialist for him, but i always thought he "only" mastered American Style Boxing and Judo, complemented with some inventions of his own and some skill in other martial arts, which would pretty much qualify him as a 6, which is fine for me, cause even as "only" a 6 he can still be the best fighter there is ... and he was.

Meh his bio also says he can run at a top speed of 30 mph...bullocks.
