Summary is basically that Smallville is aware that the Lana character sucks ass and is basically a 1 dimensional character that exists for no other reason than to be a helpless victim that pines over Clark. Kristen is also aware of this and does not like the character. Smallville will most likely get rid of Lana soon.
Basically Smallville will be taking responsibility for the mistake they've made with the Lana character.
I know... Since Michael Rosenbaum is leaving (by choice, I'm still reeling from that one) and Lana will most likely be gone they will probably focus more on Clark and the Justice league.... But wait... Chloe will also be leaving the show after season 7 and Justin Hartlet will not be returning because of a new show he's going to be in... At least he wont be in for the finale.
The only person left is Clark?????????? Lionel and Martha. What's going to happen Now?

If you scroll down a bit you will see a few threads on this very topic. Apparently due to certain rights, Tom Welling is not allowed to put on the suit. And I don't belive they have made any mention of him flying yet.
Lex and Chloe will both be leaving the show at the end of season 7, however they have both mentioned that there are characters who's contracts extend beyond that.
