I was just wondering what makes people believe that their God/Religion is the right one?Is it because of percieved evidence? Family tradition? What?
All religions are the right one. All religions have at their core the truth, but it's like the 6 blind men and the elephant, they all draw conclusions that are inherently incorrect.

Actually, it's the lack of evidence that makes me believe my religion of no religion is the right one.
All religions are not the same. The teachings may be similar, but they
are not the same. The core truths that make up Islam are vastly
different from the ones that make up Buddhism and so on.
you are correct,KharmaDog in stating some of the reasons
why people believe their religions to be better than others.
The exclusive claims made by Christians regarding Jesus
are not based on what makes them feel good but rather the
logical conclusion based on historical and physical evidence
that support our beliefs. 🙂

Do you mean evidence like the Earth is only 6,000 years old, or we all came from only two people? Or could it be the evidence that Jesus rose from the dead?
What evidence are you talking about?
Christianity is no better then any other religion. Religions are different only because cultures are different, but there is a common thread the is that is the same in all religions.
Believe it or not, there is evidence to support the argument that
the earth is between 6,000-10,000 years old.You can research
it if you like.Regarding Jesus's death and resurrection,while -
there is no actual physical evidence, there are numerous extra
biblical sources that mention it.One account that immediately
comes to mind were written by Josephus. But perhaps the
greatest proof is found in the gospels written by Jesus's
followers.Did you know that most of them were killed for
preaching the gospel? let's think about this for a moment.
How many people are willing to die for somethig they know
to be false? The apostles Peter and John( followers of jesus)
say it best in the book of Acts Ch4 verse 20.After being arr-
ested yet again for teaching about Jesus they are brought
before the jewish leaders and ordered not to speak or teach
in the name of Jesus.Peter and John said to them in reply,"It is
impossible not to speak about what we have seen and heard"
In response to the question of Adam and Eve,let me ask you
this: is it more logical to believe in a creator who created two
human beings from which all of mankind originated or the
theory that we somehow evolved for primates or
there was a big explosion that somehow formed this world
and everything in it? Trace your family history. At no point
will you ever find a primate relative in it.Mankind did not
just appear suddenly.Families and nations grew over a
period of centuries. So where there may be no actual phy-
sical evidence, the creation thoery logically explains the
origins of mankind. But please don't take my word for it.
Please investigate dilligently with all your heart.
Jesus himself said,"Those who seek me shall find me" 🙂

To me I have no reason to believe in my God. However I like to live life with purpose at is the very foundation I live my life on Live life with a purpose
I have my own custom religion that I created based on my life experiences and what I believe to be most true...what awaits me after death is unknown so until then I enjoy the one opportunity I know I have, life on Earth...I also always keep in the back of my mind that there is definately something 'more' happening behind all this nonsense, I just cant seem to find what it is.

Why is Christianity correct? Christianity is the only religion in which the son of God--a divine being in the flesh--came and sacrificed himself so that everyone, even the lowest, the most wretched scum of the Earth, could have eternal life. Christ died a criminal's death; he was made a fool and mocked and scorned. He suffered the agony of crucifixion. He bore our sins to the grave and took our guilt and shame--and he would gladly do it again.
