Sith or Jedi? Which one outclasses the other, in terms of power.

So, in everyone's opinon are the sith or the jedi stronger?

i personally rekon the sith are

This question required you to define 'stronger'.

In any ultimate sense, GL is very clear- the Dark Side will destroy itself. Good defeats evil, Light defeats Dark.

Well I for one agree with Yoda for he said in the Empire Strikes Back that the dark side was not stronger. I mean if you look at it every Sith Lord has always been defeated.

Jedi and Sith are equal in terms of raw power.

However, the Jedi are by far mentally stronger than the Sith, who are seemingly obssesed with "UNLIMITED POWAAAAHHHHH:

It does seem to be a stumbling block to them...

Depends...

Neither one of them is really more powerful, power just comes easier to the Sith because they are more willing to take it. They are willing to kill hundreds for training purposes they are willing to slaughter entire villages for knowledge where as Jedi would not do so. So Sith are able to get power faster, however in the end neither one of them is really more powerful. And like Ush said the Dark Side will destroy itself sooner or later.

In the 'now', the Darkside is more powerful. So in the 'now' the Sith are more powerful.

In the 'then' the lightside is more powerful. So in the 'then' the Jedi are more powerful.

In the end the Jedi are alive and well, where the Sith are not. So the lightside wins in the long run.

Hell, Ragnos may have been a demi-god, but he still died. Sadow could blow up stars, but he's dead too. Kun and Revan did what they did, and the Light got them eventually. Palpatine was stabbed in the back by his own Dark Side tutelage, who in turn was redeemed.

Fact 'o the matter is, all these baddies were the most powerful Force-users of their time, not just that, but Dark Siders as well. In the end though, all of 'em except Ragnos were defeated by the Light, despite their Raw Power advantage. Jedi, in the long run, pwnd the Sith.

The Dark Side is "stronger" in the sense of a power and authority perspective. It's weaker in the sense that it's innate nature is self-destructive. There isn't one side that's intrinsically stronger than the other.

offencivly the darkside has an edge over the light, but that doesnt mean they have more overall power. id say their fairly equal, just different. the darkside has the major weakness though. while it does seem to increase combat abilitiy it looks like it weakens self control and the ability to sense other things when your engaged in a fight becuase your so filled with anger and hate and single mindedly trying to destroy your opponant. so i think their around the same, just different stats in different places.

the dark side is a quicker way to gain power, but in the end, it's selfish nature and greed for power will ensure it's own destruction.
the lightside seems far less powerful, but can become almost unstoppable if you are like yoda or luke

Dark Side IMO. I don't like Jedi philosophy and they are usually humiliated - they win only if Sith fights each other, or because of greater numbers.
And Sith always come back.

Except they won't BE coming back anymore, because the Jedi destroyed them.

You mean like they did in about five different clashes?

Yup. Only this time I'm going to be thoroughly pissed. Palpatine, the last Sith, was supposed to be dead, taking his idealoligy with him. But noooooo... the authors have to reincarnate them for post-DN.

Wrong.

sith pwn in the short quick battles like in a fight and stuff but the jedi always win in the long run

yes, losing hunderds warriors. Jedi fight like gobklins in LotR.

The Sith keep losing, yeah, but there's only two at once. Saying that, if there were more they would turn on one another ALL the time intead of just on weekends.

If the Sith could develop a structure of hierarchy that catered for more at once (and worked) then the jedi would be nothing more than a distant memory for fanboyz.

Erm... The Sith are stronger. The Jedi just have a ton more. (EX: The Clone Wars) But like Ush said, the Sith end up destroying themselves.

All the really powerful guys usually got overpowered by large groups of Jedi.
