...and I find people's lack of faith in the upcoming series really, really disturbing!!!
Never has a studio the scale of Lucasfilm attempted to make a TV series. This is poised to be an unprecedented tv experience.
Technically, it's gonna blow any of the movies away...Lucas knows what people's home entertainment systems will be capable of in 2008 (and the years following for their retail release), and he'll be using it to full capacity...that's what he does best...There's nothing that makes me believe these won't be a series for the ages.
It's gonna be quality stuff.
And there's nothing tying them down storywise anymore that will need necessary linking...it's a blank SW canvas..it's gonna be great.

small note:
The Young Indiana Jones was a T.V. series in the early 90's that Lucasfilm put out.
And right you are, they will make full use of technology on the new show.
The old one helped them to use CGI to do set extensions and show New York skyscrapers and stuff that weren't there, and also to replicate people, for shots with crowds or soldiers marching.
It was a test-bed for the effects used in the Prequel trilogy.
Perhaps they will test new effects in this show for the Sequel triology?
(a fan-boy wet-dream I know, but here's hoping!)

Windu's dead, son. 😐Yeah, I still need to watch the Young Indy show. But that was top notch from what I've been told, so Star Wars as a television series won't be THAT horrible... 😛
Windu's very much alive!
He fell a couple of miles down, ended up in Coruscant's RedLight-district, only to see himself being exciled to Oola's Titty-Twister.
During the Jedi-Purge/DarkTimes he took the identity of an exotic stripper called "Sweet Chocolat Brown".....
At the near end of the Galactic Civil War he resigned from this profession after his mistress accidently got eaten by a Rancor on Tatooine.
It is rumored Windu is still searching his one true love>>>a gold plated lightsabre, lost in the depts where this tragedy all started! 😉

I'm pretty sure that Quinlan Vos, Tholme, Boba Fett and possibly Darth Vader will all be big characters. I'm hoping that Depa Billaba and Assaj Ventress will be in it as well.
Quinlan and Tholme would work well, Im hoping at least Quinlan is in it...they could easily write Tholme in by using his ability to hide his force presence..but I dont know if he died or not 😕 Boba Fett would probably still be too young, depending on how long after ROTS it took place, but it'd be sweet to see him flying Slave again. Darth Vader, again hopeful but doubting it, Depa fell to the darkside and was in some coma state or something, so she's pretty much 'dead' and Ventress ran away from Republic space after Dooku betrayed her, so doubtful.
Im just hoping its not going to turn into a 'Young Han Solo' series 🙄
