you will have seen from the fight that castillo never looked like edging it at any point...he has a small 5 shot flurry in the 3rd but apart from that was over powered...i believe the stats said hatton hit him with only 4 jabs but over 40 power punches..

and you replied with

None of that is indicative of where the fight could have gone if he didn't quit. So bringing up stats and all that is really irrelevant.

Even Emanuel Stewart was saying that Castillo was fighting like a shot fighter

Castillo himself said, as i've stated before, that he had never been punched the way Hatton hit him and put him down....so i'd say Castillo is a better judge of the fight that anyone else.

I know what Castillo said and I've countered that point already the fact is that Mexican fighters take more body shot than any other fighers thats how most of them train and fight. Emanuel Stewart even said during the the commentary that he was very surprised to see him go down from a body shot. Look I don't dought that the punch hurt, definitely not enough for him to go down and especially not enough for hin not to even attempt to get up. He quit, he has taken alot better body shot from corrales(RIP) who was a better body puncher then Hatton. For this fight now that you put in context the stats really where not indicative of where the fight was going castillo was just starting to get into fight and he generally is a slow starter anyway.

The fact is the ref was calling shots low on Castillo that weren't low and he wasn't getting paid for the fight so he saw an opportunity to get out the with minimal damage and he did. They had already taken a point from him for no reason so he was f#ck it I'm not winning this fight anyway I might as well quit.

This one has fight of the year potential. Personally I think Williams' straiter cleaner punches are going to be the difference maker in this bout. Margarito tends to through looping wide punches.

Edit: The winner gets to fight Miguel Cotto.

It was only a matter of time. He still has a huge upside if he can get the fundamentals down he could be a problem.
