Anyone watch Marquez v. Diaz? Early candidate for fight of the year. Set all kinds of punch count records, and was nutty as hell.
Also, I was at the last Pavlik fight. Not a great boxing match, but a good time. And we had 7 undercards, highlighted by a jumbo-tron TV feed of Cotto wrecking Jennings. Fun stuff.

Considering the controversy smacking Magarito currently, and how much better he did against Cotto than Mosely, one has to suspect that Magarito was plastered-up for their last fight (Cotto's only loss). Until I see Cotto beaten by someone else, he's the class of the welters imo.

Anyone bother watching Klitchko pummel another has been boxer.
Are there no decent boxers coming through who can deck these "bruno" plank like East European boxers. They are pathetic, just reach and power, no skill whatsoever.
Now would be the right time to dominate the heavyweight world with this useless lot boxing.

I happen to be flipping channels and saw the fight free on VS channel. I saw like 2 rounds and it was terrible. Gomez looked gassed in those two rounds (4-5). Klitchko didnt look that great either. I left soon after that. It wasnt interesting at all. We need a good, exciting heavyweight here in the U.S.

I thought Roman Greenberg would emerge as a dominating power in the heavyweight division but he's stalled recently after losing to Cedric Boswell so who knows.
The heavyweights all seem so out of shape compared to previous generations.
It's really sad that some promoters and commentators are saying that Lennox Lewis could take the title with a years training.
It's hardly a "return" though is it? I really wish boxers would stop this bullshit of pretending to retire then leaving a little longer than normal between fights and then coming out of "retirement" in order to get a bigger payday. It's pathetic. Have the balls to fight once every four to six months like proper boxers otherwise just ****ing retire for good.
