that's your opinion, that's nice. now stop side stepping the real fact that he agreed to all of pacquiao's "never-before-done" demands.

i understand your twisted fanboy logic perfectly. what you don't seem to grasp is that this is the same guy who was so vehemently against something that he's now trying to impose on another fighter. it doesn't matter how many times they've fought... it is comically ironic.

bottom line, mayweather wanted a safe, clean fight. can you really blame him? how many fighters were busted this year alone by "never-before-done" olympic style testing? 3, 4 or was it 5?

both of these guys are to blame for this fight not happening, like i've said before. i'm an honest fan of boxing, not an ignorant ass hater.

i'm also not going to continue arguing with someone who has selective reading. if you want to be daft about your opinion, well i can't do anything about that.

* this is not fanboyism, dude... you presented facts, i also presented facts...

* Pacquiao demanding an additional test is not hypocrisy! it's logical! what kind of twisted mentality do you have? Marquez has never knocked down Pacquiao in their first three battles. EVER. much more of a knockout. NOT EVER... the older Marquez was clearly buffer and bigger in their 4th fight compared from the first three... so it is very much logical for the Pacquiao camp to demand an additional test for Marquez... spell this out, dude --- LOGICAL...

* Mayweather demanded never-before-done Olympic-style drug test on Pacquiao with one single solitary reason --- speculation... and that spells cowardice in my book... open your eyes, bro... if Mayweather wants a clean and safe fight, why didn't he demanded an Olympic-style drug test before his negotiations with Pacquiao in his fights before? he didn't demand it on Marquez, Hatton and dela Hoya... and why in the blue hell didn't he demanded an Olympic-style drug test every single time he's gonna fight?

* well it seems to me that you're a Mayweather-fanboy and a Pacquiao-hater... while i do agree that both Mayweather and Pacquiao made their own excuses, you are clearly defending Mayweather as if Pacquiao is the only one to blame... you can re-read your posts for proof...

* and even if you don't want to admit you're wrong, Mayweather already did it for you... remember his interview before his fight with Cotto? he says and i quote, "Why should I do something which could damage my health in order to please the media? I’ve made a pile of money already but I tell you I’d rather give it all back than wind up trying to find my cane."

* now why in the blue hell will he say something like that? truth is, the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight will never happen, because Mayweather is convinced that Pacquiao is taking steroids, and nothing will change his mind... but the world knows (probably except you, Mezark) that Mayweather may have convinced himself of that, but deep down he knows that it’s not the reason this fight won’t happen... he’s just afraid of losing, period...

* another fact... Mayweather could’ve fought Pacquiao anytime he wanted... after Pacquiao's 2nd-round knockout of Ricky Hatton, an opponent it took Mayweather nine rounds to KO... Mayweather could’ve challenged Pacquiao after he impressively dismantled the bigger Joshua Clottey for a unanimous decision win, or after Pacquiao broke Antonio Margarito’s orbital bone in another unanimous decision victory... But Mayweather didn’t... but what did Mayweather do? he goes on racial and profanity-laced tirades, he went to prison for 87 days for a domestic violence dispute in front of his children, he threatens senior citizens like his father and an announcer, and he ignorantly burns $100 bills at nightclubs...

* hell, even American columnist/s and TV sports network reporter/s are calling Mayweather a flat-out, yellow coward... face it, dude... Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao... and if i'm a fanboy, ignorant, a hater and biased --- then what are you? 🙄

i said i wouldn't continue this but, i'll bite one more time.

i'm giving mayweather a fair shake based on the facts. here you are still spewing garbage.

yeah, why fight somebody who refuses to take a simple drug test? mosley, ortiz, cotto took it no question. the fights were made. ortiz and cotto had no priors, no reason for may to speculate. what makes pac so special?

marquez has every right to tell pacquiao to **** off with his bitchmade drug test 😂. actually, juan already said he's willing to take all the tests in the world to prove he's clean, like a real champion. pacquiao's team were already accusing him before the 4th fight happened. it's strange how they stopped barking when marquez proposed extra testing during the build up of that fight. now that pac got his ass starched... well, it's only logical...

i'm not going to put effort dissecting how ridiculous you look trying to polish up those wins. all these years at 147 and pacquiao's only semi-good, unblemished win is an unranked clottey who was coming off a loss. 😂

anyway, let's ask bob arum and his crew why the fight could've happened at anytime as you say...

1. Pac's team want to make JMM-Pac IV fight.
2. Cut needs 8 months to heal.
3. Arum said Floyd going to jail so can't make fight.
4. May 5th fight will be reserved for JMM-Pac IV fight.
**(FMJ sentence pushed)**
5. Arum says May 5th too soon for cut to heal.
6. Need time to build fantasy stadium.
7. Fight should be in Dubai or Dallas, not Vegas.
8. Floyd NEEDS to personally call me - Bob Arum
9. Arum is not sure why Schaefer keeps calling him, so Arum won't return call.
10. Pacquiao has picked right opponent but it's a secret...
11. Purse has to be 50/50, even though Pac said he would take the smaller purse.
12. Arum said he is not pushing for fight because Floyd is really fighting Guerrero.
13. Pac is running for president and fighting Floyd would not be good press because of Floyd's disrespectful ways.
14. Arum doesn't know who to call to reach Floyd's business.
15. Floyd must first guarantee his purse (yet Floyd and Money Team have more money than all investors combined).
16. Pactards say May 5th is only for Mexicans.
17. Pac says Floyd can't demand OSDT.
18. Blood testing weakens Pac.
19. Pac is afraid of needles.
20. Floyd is too big.
21. Need more time to promote fight.
22. Top Rank has investors needed for a fight of this magnitude... Joe jackson and Bobby Brown.
23. Mayweather is fighting Erik Morales so Pac has to fight a possible other 4 guys.
24. People won't pay to see Mayweather's style.
25. "I don't even know what is a steroid." - Manny Pacquiao
26. Mayweather may not get a licensed by the boxing commission, so we can't negotiate fight - Bob Arum
27. Floyd Mayweather's team are amateurs.
28. Mayweather camp are negotiating through the media.
29. Arum is giving him a dose of reality, that's why he's not making the fight.
30. Pac and Arum playing games with Floyd to mock him.
31. Mayweather had his chance but he blew it in 2009.
32. Floyd doesn't REALLY want to fight, he's just posturing.
33. Fight would have been already over ages ago had it not been for Floyd making it impossible
34. Arum: "We still don't know who to talk to on Mayweather's side!!!"
35. Manny Pacquiao has lost a step since Cotto.
36. Bob Arum doesn't trust USADA official testing.

why keep negotiating with folks who can't keep their story straight?

those boxing "journalists" who write for hits? dickride the good guy, trash the bad guy, and watch millions of clueless pac stans flock to their articles. and if you took skip bayless' opinion seriously then yeah, that all i needed to know. no thanks, excuse me for not having a herd mentality.

I just hope people aren't using Pacquiao's 4th fight with Marquez to say why he can't beat Mayweather.

I don't see many people talking about the Chavez Jr.-Martinez match here. It's worth the talk seeing how it almost turned out just like the Chavez Sr.-Taylor match in 1990.

Many people can spot the similarities between both fights but can anyone explain what all was different...other than who won? How different were Taylor and Martinez's styles when they were fighting the Chavezes?

very different, they fight nothing alike at all. only similarity is that they outboxed the shit out of both chavez with relative ease. also, chavez sr was a small dude. him and taylor were about the same size when they fought. martinez beat down what looked like a cruiserweight. fortunately for sergio, junior isn't any good. that was a huge size difference if you think about it.

I sure wish they release that HBO Legendary Nights series on DVD and, this may be asking for too much but maybe revive the series too. I'm sure they got a lot more legendary bouts to talk about since then.

If not, then at least Showtime should make their own Legendary Nights series. I know they got enough memorable matches for a series, like Hagler-Mugabi or Chavez-Whitaker.

I was just wondering, was the Tyson-Holyfield fights also on Showtime?

I can't believe I forgot to mention Corrales-Castillo.

Well, what do ya know:

http://www.eastsideboxing.com/2013/legendary-nights-returns-this-fall-on-hbo/

I really hope this won't be the only episode. There's a lot more classic fights that should have an episode on them.

Anyone feel like Guerrero went for the head too much? Considering Mayweather's crazy head movement, I think he should have gone to the body more. He had some success when he did.

Anybody saw the Broner vs. Malignaggi fight?

That was just pure robbery right there. Malignaggi clearly did the most work. He fought the smart fight and landed the most hits, yet Broner (who just landed harder hits but kept falling for the same tricks) got a split decision win? Seriously, anybody can tell that something is up there. Even Paulie knew it.

Plus, I don't like Broner's attitude. I'm not biased or anything but I simply don't like how cocky boxers be given these bogus wins. I want to see him lose as soon as possible! Maybe Marcos Maidana could make that happen.

It should be either Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, or Keith Thurman.

Either one of those guys would destroy Adrian Broner...but I still wouldn't mind watching.

I think Bradley would humiliate Broner.

Showtime's boxing event from last night was the best I've seen in a while. All three fights were great! Hopefully, this brings more attention to Keith Thurman. If he keeps this up, he'll be a main eventer real soon.

So what do you guys think about what Roberto Duran said about Floyd Mayweather?

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1719193-duran-in-my-era-mayweather-would-have-been-ordinary?search_query=Roberto Duran

Okay...it's time for Marcos Maidana to shut Adrien Broner up. Even Lucas Matthyse want to see that.

http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/179903-matthysse-wants-maidana-to-take-broners-head-off

What I don't get is why so many people think Broner would beat Maidana? Because I truly don't see how. His win against Paulie Malignaggi didn't impress anybody and it sure isn't gonna help him against Maidana, who hits much harder than Malignaggi. So I don't see what the heck they're saying.

I'm not gonna even bother mentioning Keith Thurman. Broner might duck him. 😂

So, Kovalev knocked out Cleverly.

I think Kovalev-Stevenson would be a great, fan-friendly fight.

I'm disappointed that Daniel Geale lost by a split decision, even though he put Barker down with a punch to the solar plexus.

It was close, but if anything Geale done enough in the fight to keep his IBF Middleweight title.
