Superboy Prime was the only Superpowered being on Earth Prime but......that actually that brings another theory to the table.
DC will always have a multiverse if WE are Earth Prime. There is no way around it. If we "exist" outside of their knowledge....who knows what other Earths or dimensions exist as well?
For years they thought they were alone and suddenly they found the Earth 2 of the antimatter universe.
And of course...WE are still here in Earth PRIME.

Wasn't the idea that DC still had a multiverse cemented by existence of the Weaponers of Qward in the Anti Matter universe? Not only that but the Wildstorm Universe as well. Majestic and the Authority can enter the mainstream DCU at anytime they want.
Vertigo as well? srug

Not really. SBP came from Earth Prime while E-1 Superman came from Earth 2.
SBP has no real relation to Kal-L other than the S-Shield.
Im gonna chalkup the underlined portion to a typo on your part, no harm.
SBP is an analogue of E-1 superboy. remember back then all kryptonians were the same there was no Kal-el "A" was stronger than Kal-el "B" so he was created as just another random version of E-1 superboy...in essence if the Super boy/man were to show up in reg. DCU he would display the same planet towing, solar system sneezing, effortless time traveling abilites..in fact dont be too surprised when SBP inevitably escape from OA that he wont be doing crazy shit like that, or maybe the Guardians will be able to deprogam him and turn him into a force for good...either way when he finds a way out, his feats are gonna be off the charts
I still haven't read the full Identity Crisis (I usually wait for TPB to come out, and mine is currently on order) but based on some of these scans I'm really looking forward to it, especially with regards to Superboy Prime. He seems like such a tragic character. It's great to see how a Superman-like character can effect the DC universe when he decides to go bad.
ALso isn't it interesting how when DC does these huge comic events, invariably it always seems to come down to Superman as being the frontal character involved. I love that, especially when Lex is somehow involved too. And in this case this offers both the real Superman and Lex and variations of them as the core characters. Great stuff. Can't wait to get the TPB in the mail.
Superboy Prime smashes through a GL wall which only slows him down, he then proceeds to smack down a few more GL's:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In an effort to weaken Superboy, he is flown directly through a Red Sun, (we also find out that Kryptonite is useless against him):
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Superboy beat Kal-L so badly that he was killed, he also severely beats the mainstream Superman horribly before he is stopped, (remember Superboy was weak when he did all of this):
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The only prison that is capable of holding Superboy Prime:
(Sorry if any of those were previously posted).
