Rude or Blunt?

AC, you can make a point about being rude or blunt without calling someone a fing btch, I dont care if it WAS a joke, he should have chosen a different tack. I've been banned for FAR less than that.

And Bardock enlighten me as to WHY it is Im supposed to care what you think? 🙄

I've been banned for nothing, we've all had injustices.

He made a point in a way you dislike, he added the disclaimer to show it was a point he was making. Why are you reporting him?

If I remember rightly, you typed a post full of caps, swears and angry smileys when you wanted to make a point that you didn't like me. You could have just said it, but you didn't. I didn't report you because you didn't deserve to be reported. You MEANT it though, Krunk'd didn't.

He didn't deserve reporting.

If you had it coming, don't complain about being banned for less. Some of us have been banned for nothing.

You called me other swears, so this has just become about the fact that you don't like the word "f*cking". Which he didn't mean anyway.

You should have just said "I don't like the way you made that comment, please try not to be so offensive."

But you made the effort to screencap it and send it to Raz. Who will probably say what everyone has said.

Yeah. Something will be done about it if the mods believe it warrants something being done about it. Being as globals have been on since you reporting his post, apparently they don't think this deserves a warning or anything.

Really? Please repost that, because I dont remember calling you "other swears" at all.

And whatever Raz decides is fine by me. However, he should have made it a point to say, "this is just a joke" in that post and since he didnt I reported it.

Hence my comment that the report feature only works for "certain" people. Because I guarentee if that post had been directed at YOU a different action would have resulted.

He said it was an example of what would be considered rudeness. Now it's become about him not CLARIFYING it in a way that you liked.

Were something like that posted at me in this thread and then followed by a disclaimer, as his post was, I would have just rolled my eyes and moved on, not even bothering to report it. I put up with a ridiculous amount of abuse on this site, and I've long since learned to figure out what's worth making trouble over and what doesn't matter.

You start a thread about the difference between rudeness and bluntness and then throw a fit when someone makes a post displaying being rude, SAYS that it was just to display the difference between the two, thus fulfilling the point of the thread.

JP, you're overreacting. Again.

No offense, JP, but if you're only just working out that the mods aren't a pillar of incorruptability then you're slow on the uptake.

if i call someone an *******...it could certainly be considered rude.

but...what if they really are an *******?

If someone is acting stupid and you tell them you think they're stupid, I don't think that's rude.

Rude would be going out of your way to make pointless disrespectful remarks, which everyone is guilty of at some point.

So why are people banned for saying things like that about another member? They are only making their point of view clear arent they? Seems like splitting hairs to me. He could have even made that post using that language and still made his point without directing it at me and that is MY point.

Anyways, he just made a point what was rude, even clarifying it afterwards. Not to forget that you basically asked for rude answers....
He didn'T insult you, since there was no intend to insult you, but just helping you understand the differencce, since you don't seem to.

No I wasnt. I was asking if there was a difference between rude and blunt. I myself know the difference but I was curious if other people viewed them as the same or different. No where in any of my posts is there a sentence that says please provide an example.
