Thats a fair way to look at it. But I would never hire somebody convicted of rape. I dont care if the incident was a hundred years ago, no rapist is working at my chop shop. I just dont want that shit around me, ey.

So is it your opinion that people can't be forgiven?

What'chu talking about, ese? I never said or implied that. Read my post again; I just dont want that shit around me. If my waiter at a restaurant is a convicted rapist, thats fine. But he sure would never work for me.

I make necklaces out of rabbit droppings. I go around to various people who aren't going to finish eating their droppings, and steal them off their plate. Should I be arrested?
The real question are you a sexual predator or a past rape offender eating the food off of childrens plates🙂
Mast important though are the rabbits safe where you get your rabbit droppings?

Why is it relevant though? If he raped a female and committed no other crimes for 30 years, is obviously reformed and perfectly qualified to work at your shop, why wouldn't you accept him?
You smoke weed, there are many people who would deny you a job because they view you as a "druggie", fair? No.

I'm sorry, but its a personal thing. After reviewing his background check and criminal record I would tell him something along the lines of, "I apologize, but we're not in need of your talents at the moment, however I do know of other auto shops who are seeking individuals with your specific knowledge and expertise." I would refer him to some other auto shop.
I've been called a druggie before, but it doesn't bother me. Despite being a pothead and having a record, I've worked as a carpenter for Klein Bros. Construction which is a Mormon owned company here in Phoenix.
There's a big difference between somone who peddles drugs to feed thier family and someone who rapes women/kids. If you ever do time you'll realize that immeadiately. The rapists are always specially confined because the other inmates are just itching to beat/stab them (myself included). Nobody really cares about drug-related offences, since thats what lands the majority of people in the big house.
If you're in prison, you're a criminal, most likely. There are of course different degrees of severity, but I don't buy all this righteousness criminals get.
"Hey man, you rape anyone?" "Yeah." "F*cking sicko." "What?! You murdered a family." "Didn't rape anyone though, sicko."
You said you'd refer him somewhere else though, I can respect that.
