that's a bit of horrible, how could you not have found your niche?
i don't even think it's possible to not love one thing more than all others 😕

i dont have a niche, plain and simply

of all things i like natural sciences the most, and i do like history as well although i havent taken any and i life french but no matter what i dont know what i would do with any of them, i have no specific goal in mind except to leave this place.

You could go into porn.

no thanks

"I remember once imagining what my life would be like, what I'd be like. I pictured having all these qualities, strong positive qualities that people could pick up on from across the room. But as time passed, few ever became any qualities that I actually had. And all the possibilities I faced and the sorts of people I could be, all of them got reduced every year to fewer and fewer. Until finally they got reduced to one. To who I am."

I adore it. I'm utterly fascinated by how it repeats itself and all kinds of other things. I mean I minored in classics because the history of Greece and Rome is my favourite, but I love Medieval history, and I love colonial history, and well I actually love all history.
It's actually with a heavy heart I'm switching.
I've been in a history heavy program for the last 6 years, all 4 in HS and then the past 2 years at uni.
But english opens up a lot more doors for me, and allows me to pursue the one career I'm most interested in, writing.

I think english would suit you better. While I love history too it seems a little limiting. Besides, you can always write about history.

There's nothing you've wanted to be? 😐
Like as a kid, or even recently, nothing at all that makes you happiest of everything else?

I find english would suit me better because my eccentricities would fit into it better and be able to flourish instead of being stifled as they are whilst in other disciplines, like for example I write poetry while waiting for class to start etc. Just things like that tell me I'd be better off in a more creative outlet such as english.

Or write in history, every story needs a setting 😂
And though to me it doesn't seem so limiting, I figure in the long run say I was to become a teacher I'd much rather teach English than anything else.

Fair enough, but the location shouldn't really make a difference to WHAT you are learning, the subject matter is what should excite you shrug

Live like Axel.

Just because it's not pursuing traditional practices doesn't mean it's being wasted. shrug

History can also be a creative outlet. Just because history is the study of things that have already happened, that are set firmly in the past, doesn't mean there's only one way to interprete them. That's one thing I love about history.
