Well like you I'm fascinated by religion.
But I find myself bored by this topic, I think it's to do with the fact that the Jesuits never exercised a policy of violent conversion in North America, they pretty much just morphed native beliefs into Judeo Christian ones, so there's really very little exciting happenings.
And it's not like a societal genocide or anything occurred because of them spreading disease either.
In the end it's very uneventful, which is why I think I'm putting off this paper so much. The most exciting thing so far has been my intro about the Catholic Reformation sweeping Europe and giving rise to the missionary movement. 😬
