The word for 'Water' in Russian is 'Voda'. Vodka is very close to that, so its practically water. It's a Polish word, but it goes to reason, with the two languages being quite similar in a lot of respects, that Vodka is simply water for the gods. Drink it accordingly. CHEERS! 😄
