Once it hits closing time (8pm on Sunday-Thursday; 9pm Friday & Saturday), we close the doors and put the gated fence up. No one else allowed in. We have to stay until the customers leave and the place is cleaned. Some customers like to finish their food, but sit and talk for an hour and sip their drinks even though we're clearly closed and standing around waiting for their dishes so we can close down the dishwashing station.

We try to talk them into ordering it to-go, but if they want to eat in we have to let them. We can't kick anyone out without reason, wanting to go home doesn't count as a reason. 🙁

Last pay check I was working close to 5 hours overtime pay per week.

Long hours, then I have to drive an hour (or an hour and 1/2, depending on construction) just to get home. I'm getting too busy to spend quality time with my girlfriend and it sucks major ass.

I cant say i don't envy you.... i don't even have a job. The pickins are slim. Tho it sounds like i'd be just as pissed as you lol.

i was offered an office job, i turned it down.

And then to top it all off, slip of the knife got my finger today. We keep our shit super sharp too. Thankfully I pulled it back fast enough to where I only got a shallow wound that didn't bleed much.

U mighta got hazard pay if you got rushed to the hospital with a finger needing re-attachment.

I had to disinfect the knife and cutting board and throw out the food I had just finished making.

Most likely not though. They'd end up finding a reason to fire me while I'm on medical leave. We only have 3 cooks, and when the summer ends we go down to 2 cooks. If I got seriously injured right now, they would keep the other 2 cooks so the place can keep running 7 days a week.

Right now it's the head cook (Ray) and myself that will be staying during the dead season and Marc having to leave. He doesn't know yet, which sucks. I feel bad for the guy.

We're also going to lose 1 of our 3 servers. The head server stays, and then we have the experienced, but bitchy/drama-filled/argument starter or the in-experienced/messes up a lot, but nice and fun to work with, single mother struggling to make ends meet.

This place is actually really cut-throat. We're all trying not to lose our job in about a month and a half. I just know that I can't lose this job, not with a baby on the way.

And all i know is no matter how many times i try to register at camel.com for these 40 free business cards( i mean cmon i can have some fun with those lol, and they're free) it just tells me that im not eligible to view their site..... cuz you know im not a legally aged smoker or anything.

always wanted to go to a comic convention but never felt comfortable enough to go. my friends are too judgmental and i never would go alone plus the crowd and the type of ppl would be too much for me and my issues and the bully in me would want to kick them back of the head or shuff them in the toilet

I got an A on m y quiz after all.

The Best Buy near me is hiring for a supervisor position. I've been told by several people - including my manager - that I should go apply for it and I'd have a good chance at getting it. I'm probably going to go apply tomorrow. The possibility of more hours and $4/hour more, as well as being able to geek out over cameras and computers as well as video games at work = win.

I am going to sacrifice my kickboxing class for another job interview, and if I get hired, I can compare my current job to a new one, to see who has better pay/benefits.

i am too lazy to post my emote smilie faces to reflect my mood in a post.. it leads to confusion, anger and whatnot *whatever* still funny to me.
