We weren't able to get the ultrasound today, the technician wasn't there. It's now scheduled for next Friday. Jess had her exam and blood work done today though.

It has some similarities, however if you happen not to be a psychopath (and I'm not so sure on you, mate) then you are looking for an emotional connection when dating. You want to develop a friendship, and a trust, something that a prostitute is not usually willing to give. Which is exactly why it is so sad when you see a documentary on prostitution and there's some sad fool looking for emotional warmth from the prostitutes and it is just very apparent that they are deluding themselves.
