I need to start buying more DVDs. I'm greatly slacking in that department and have been for a while now.
I have around 120ish store bought DVDs, then I went to burning from Netflix rentals and probably have around 1300-1500 of those. Then I stopped, as I realized I rarely ever pull one out to watch. In fact, the only movie I pull out to watch is The Big Lebowski, on my birthday.
So IMO, save your money unless the movie is special to you in some fashion.

Yeah. For me I'm the same way with music though. I probably have over 2000 CDs. As I support buying rather than pirating music. For obvious reasons if you know anything about me. Movie wise, I just like to buy the stuff that I know I'm usually going to watch over and over again rather than once every 3 years you know?
Although sometimes the deals at Best Buy with their 6.99 weekly movies are pretty awesome. I got the special edition of T2 for like 6 dollars a while back.
