Either way, meditation seems like a good way to centre all of those loose thoughts that I find so hard to piece together

Same here, plus I'm sleeping and focusing better. I went a couple of weeks where I didn't take time to meditate and felt generally crappy. I was pleasantly surprised by the effects it's had on me.
