it sure does..i even promised myself to boycott McDonalds and Coca Cola, Vodafone, Telekom etc...
if they'd advance to the last 8, i got a buisiness collegue who would take my wife and me to the game for some *cough*cash... 😉

yeah this is going to be an ugly one... i say 1:1...

as for the England goal..it was officially declared as an own goal..sorry 😮

Argentina are playing really well.

2 - 0 up.

ivory coast are playing fairly well themselves, just havent been able to score. looks like it'll be one of those nights for them

Man IC can't get a call in this game. How many fouls in the penalty area do you need before the referee actually makes a call?

I hate how Argentina keeps taking dives.

Now that was match! It's a shame Cote d'Ivoire came up on the short end, they really outplayed Argentina IMO.

Well deserved goal by Drogba at the end, at least I got some pts from that. Not that it matters anymore, I notice a lot of people are cheating with these fantasy leagues.

Drogba!!!!!

i was impressed by ivory coast, they showed a lot of heart.

That's beginning to annoy me with the English commentary team, "You can put the goal down to Beckham if you like." No, you can't. It was an own goal. I think Paraguay would have pulled a goal back had they got back into it earlier, but it wasn't to be.

Sweden and Trinidad/Tobago had a great game also, I enjoyed it the most overall today, but the last 30 minutes of the Argentina/Cote d'Ivoire game were great.

Some good games tomorrow, or at least good teams playing.

Hmm....Asian persuasion. I got dibs on the one holding the spaghetti fork. Ahem...care to introduces us to your friends, names please naughty

It's weird, but you seem to meet a lot of Asian people when you live in Asia...Cindy and Rachel be their names.

Anyway, I was disappointed that Ivory Coast lost, it'll be really difficult for them to qualify now.

I enjoyed the Sweden vs T&T but those most entertaining of the day was Argentina vs Ivory Coast... they should have tied it because they had the most chances in the final 10 minutes

England were very poor, no imagination going forward. Its such a shame to see the talent they have on that team going to waste, they play so conservatively. Against the better teams in the tournament they will have to create alot better chances than long hopeful shots, they looked pretty comfortable at the back for the most part but its on attack that has me worried. The quicker Erickson is outta there the better, if thats the way he wants England to play they wont be able to compete once the big guns come into the equation.

T&T did themselves proud, if England take them lightly they may end up losing because i think T&T would have taken alot of confidence from the Sweden game.

Argentina were pretty lucky, i dont think they would have had much to complain about if the Ivory Coast had drawn level. They certainly did enough to force a draw.

yeah true...was a pretty good game

its weird when the world cup rolls around because alot of people still automatically assume that the old guard teams like germany, argentina etc will automatically beat the teams that arent that well established...you would've thought that south korea and japan would've gone some way to dispelling that notion at the last world cup but apparently not

look at the players from the ivory coast team...drogba, toure, Kalou, Boka, Eboue...some seriously damn good players...yet because they fall under the flag of the ivory coast alot of people automatically write them off

first half they wasnt poor. 2nd half they was because of tactical decisions.

It's not is it? Let's bring ourselves (you) back down to Earth.

It's Ukraine, I don't think "anything's possible" applies to them. That's like saying Czech Republic will do great because of Cech.

Me thinks you're talking out your arse

Why do you always piss on another person's opinion??

I hate your kind, those who mock others opinions, you're not gonna change my mind on it, and believe it or not, what you say about Ukraine is OPINION and certainly not fact

Look at Greece in Euro 2004

Now stop being so far up your own arse and thinking you know better than everyone, and for god sake stop acting like god's gift to football knowledge!!! You certainly aren't that in any way at all!!!

You would say that being a Brazil supporter.....well let me put a little bit of a dampener on your so called side, they needed a fluke goal to beat a very poor England performance four years ago

And I think you'll find, for the first hour, we pissed all over Paraguay, and even when they ceased the initiative, they still never looked like breaking our solid defence

Im watching the world cup games in Univision. Latino commentary is pretty good.

1-0 already

I watched the openin ceremony. It was pretty gud!
I watched the 1st half of the 1st match b/t germany n costa rica.It was pretty gud too.germany playin well.

Mexicans are about to play Iran

It's the first half of Iran vs Mexico. 😬 Don't care for either team but I'm happy Netherlands won against Serbia and Montenegro.
I want England to win, wtf |: That guy from Chelsea scored the only goal in England vs Paraguay, but I still hatehatehate Chelsea.
