What a cracking game! Mexican fans can hold their head up high. This match could've gone either way. Rafa Marquez is a beast. I love what one mexican fan said after the match when interviewed. "We played better than ever and lost the same as ever" Better luck in 2010 lads thumbsup
Once again, Sweden had a horrible game and Ibrahimovich was in the lineup. Coincidence...hmmm.

My bet is that Mattomic squeeled like a baby goat despite being the main culprit. It makes me feel furry when that happens. Like a fat, little teddy bear with a red bow around its neck in aid of some sort of special charity...
Thanks for confirming that!!!
Feel like i'm getting criticised for no reason what-so-ever
Sense the sarcasm in that last message by the way
Can I just say thankyou to those who realise I have not been the instigator in these disputes, I appreciate it alot!!!
Anyway, my predictions for today are as follows:
It could go two ways in my opinion, we can either turn up and play the way we know we can, and win comfortably 3 or 4-0
Orrrrr we could flatter to deceive once again and either be on the wrong end of a giant killing or stutter through 1-0
I really do think we will show a major improvement today, and win the game by half-time, buttttt I refuse to rule out a giant killing, Ecuador are in the knockout stages through hard work and on merit
Ecuador are gonna be tough today for england. Hopefully Carrick can prove alot of ppl right and put in a good performance that lets Gezza n Lamps attack together, We're gonna have to step it up alot against these, 3rd best team in south america and if we don't keep the ball, i don't see them giving it away cheaply. I'm goin' for a 2-0 England, Gerrard & Rooney goals.
So, I'm curious.
Why is it "clever" that Robinson is time-wasting, but when an opposing player does it, it's "pathetic", to Lawrenson? Oh, I know. I expected a better showing from England but then again, I do often have unrealistic expectations.
The disgracfully biased commentating makes me rather sick. Might as well have England yobs in the commentators box.

Because it's heat, if you can't deal with it enough to not mention it, don't bother going. Every player has to deal with it, why bring it up for England? Because it somehow implies that it's stopping them from winning?
It's Germany, not the Earth's core. The Sun isn't sitting up in space thinking "Quick, turn it up so it's hotter, but only so England will be affected." England could play in the freezing cold and you'd say "They were freezing!". England fans always, without fail, have an excuse.
England did what they always do, played cautiously, scored from a set-piece that was very nearly saved and then spent most of their time defending. England style, as VVD calls it.
They won't be able to do that against teams that can score.

4-5-1 defensive and conservative formation for England? Against Ecuador? Wow! Desperate times call for desperate measures I suppose. No matter, spice boy to the rescue! How many chances has Lampard missed up to now? Is anyone keeping count? Btw, WC campaign for Rooney so far, 800 minutes and counting and no goals for England.
I think one of England's problems is who is the main man in the midfield for them? Who is the real captain or field general on the pitch? Lampard? Gerrard? Beckham? Cole? Every other good team has a player like this...
For Brazil it's Ronaldinho, For Italy it's Totti, For the Czechs it's Nedved, For France it's Zizou, For Argentina it's Riquelme, For Germany it's Ballack, for the Netherlands it's Robben...etc...etc...etc.
It seems at times England just doesn't have that go to person or leadership that they can count on to set up and direct creative options in attack, it's as if the midfield is just a free for all, every man for himself type mentality.
Anyway, this next match should be a cracking one indeed.
