I'm gonna miss the world cup when it's gone, for me, there's no other footballing event that feels quite like it, I love watching international competitions, and this is the grandaddy of them all, good luck to everyone left in (except Portugal, hehe)

I love watching club football too, but for me, it ain't got the same buzz.....what do you guys think??

Where are you getting all this horsecrap from? I dislike MOST of the football team, therefore I hate the country? You're definitely not too bright. That's all they are, a team of 11 men born here, no more or less. Me disliking most of them (because I've said time and time again that I like some of them), doesn't equate to me hating the country or its fans. I hate the way its fans are, a lot of the time, but there are also devout England fans I have no problem with and personally know.

It's your kind that I hate. The kind that ignore every bit of factual information in favour of digging your head in the sand and going "Lalalalala.". You've more or less sealed your own debate shut with this post anyway, "I don't care what happens, I just care about rankings.".

I definitely agree, it feels like the World Cup was ages in coming, now it's almost over. Very odd.

During the domestic season I couldn't wait for the World Cup, now I can't wait for the season again.

Agree, it's always the same though, we wait ages for it to come, and then bam before you know it, we're getting ourselves ready for the coming club season

I particulary enjoy watching the Champions League, it has kind of a similar feel to the world cup in terms of the best teams from around Europe all playing eachother

As a Wolves fan, I am obviously nervous for the upcoming season, was a pity Seol got so little time for South Korea, was the only Wolves fix I got during this world cup.....

I enjoyed the CL better than the World Cup I think.

Can someone tell me who that team in the blue was? It says Italy but there must be some mistake.
Nice open 1st half, amazing how much more fun the game is to watch when the ref keeps his whistle in his pocket and lets them play.
Hopefully the 2nd half will be as good with some goals.

i enjoyed the WC moew. it only comes around every 4 years! plus the game are on every day near enough. its been a great tournement.

i dont mind portugal winning it, they have never won it before. i want italy to win it though. i think they just edged it tonight.

Excellent game, both teams played brilliantly, good goals, but I hold my belief that Italy do not deserve to be where they are. I think they've not played like a team who deserve to be potential champions, save for the odd moment of positivity.
