the page of notes he pulled out of his sock during the penalty kicks.Italy wins anyway, my perdiction is all but complete seeing as italy cant even be scored on.
Even though I hate to admit it, doing what Germany did (the penalty note thing) ISN'T cheating. There's NO rule against that. All they did was investigate each player's way of kicking, wrote it down and handed it to Lehmann. Smells like intelligence to me.
About Buffon, that guy deserves a monument. 😄

Excellent game, both teams played brilliantly, good goals, but I hold my belief that Italy do not deserve to be where they are. I think they've not played like a team who deserve to be potential champions, save for the odd moment of positivity.-AC
i disagree. they have been excellent in defence and are efficient in attack. they are a tough side to beat. its not all about beautiful football

i beg to differ, ac...they have the most efficient form of play. and they are likely to get the championship.
they're just not that spectacualr.
excellent game. and an excelletn win
I said at the start of the game "Italy will score in the dying minutes" and they did. They didn't beat USA, barely beat Australia (penalty is up for debate). The only games they played well were the first game when it was 2-0, even against Ukraine they played really boring and dull.
Before anyone says "Brazil had shit games too", yes, I didn't expect them to win, but they did enough to deserve to. Won all their games.
This game was good and I give Italy credit for a good game, but they don't deserve to be in the finals, in my opinion.

For me it is, I don't know about you.
I respect that it's not a sport meant for entertainment, they play to win, not to entertain, sure. However, that's why I don't watch all the divisions or multiple leagues, if it's not entertaining, great football, I see no point in watching.
Why do I want to watch teams play for 90 minutes when they bore the shit out of me? Unless they're playing someone I like.

it was either the announcers during a game, or a guy on espn who said that it is clearly against the rues.

I'm not gonna say "Prove it" if you tell me someone else said it, but it's not against the rules. It has been done many times in one of Argentina's clubs. It's almost the same as if you were a fan just beside the goalkeeper's goal and told him where the shooter is gonna shoot.

i certianly dont know the rules good enough to prove it, was just going by what i heard. It is possible club rules and world cup rules could differ though isnt it?
either way italy's D is looking stellar to go with a very good offense I still dont see how they could possibly lose, i thought brazil was the only way.
