A high risk pedophile was released from prison last week. Parents are angry that he only served 10 years of a 16 year sentence, and they will not be informed of his whereabouts.
It really sucks when we are allowed to see pictures of murderers when they are released, but never a pedophile. Funny, that. Gotta protect the child molester. Gotta let him out so he can reoffended.

That doesn't happen here. Sex offenders are released and no one is told if he moves into your street.
The last high risk pedophile to be released was Mr. Baldy-he shaved his victims heads. He moved into a house right near a school, and where dozens of school age children walked past every day on their way to school. Parents found out he was there and were mad. People threw rocks at his house and drove him out. They were more mad at not being told, as they thought they had a right to know whether their kids could still walk to school. No one knows where this guy is, now.

What the f*ck are you talking about? You act like the prisons purposefully let them out so they can reoffend. Don't be so stupid.
The reason paedophiles and murderers have their identities protected is so that lynch mob people can't go hunting them down.

I do care about the law. The law is great sometimes, and hands down the sentences that the public expect. But other times the law is far too easy on criminals. Someone dies and the killer may only get 2-3 years. 3 years for a life? We have the right to be angry. We have the right to be mad that we are not told that a pedophile moves next door to us. We have the right to know that.
Pedophiles should not be protected. They shouldn't be able to hide away from people after what they did. They are weak and cowardly, afraid of being persecuted. They deserve to be persecuted, they do not deserve to have more rights than the public. The public expects these monsters to be put away for life, and rarely does that happen.
Our right to be safe, and know that our kids are safe, is FAR more important than the 'right' of some sick pedophile to be sheilded from us.
