Sora(Kingdom Hearts) vs Link(Legend of Zelda)

Slash right, slash left, chop, poke, jump slash, spin about. A true professional.

The fact it's imbued with magic that functionally covers his opening while also amping the offensive power of the swing is pretty awesome.

Sounds like you're describing most of Sora's moves to justify his spin attack.

o: cept that he doesn't do anything a random person that can pick it up could do. Spin overhead -> flick.

Again the clone means little. TP had no training until OoT came along, so beating him isnt impressive. He became a pro with a bow and nothing more, he may be a quick learner but you cant use that one thing to say he can lean anything in a second.

Completing OoT's teachings is also optional~

Yeah I knew the TP one. But I thought we were supposed to be using OoT Link.

OWAIT, UNSPECIFIED! DO WE GET COMPOSITE?

If you can name a game that has composite Link, sure.

Though we are using OoT Link. 😛

OoT or TP as per norm... said a dozen times now.

Rusl says hi.

This is basicly his primary super power. He's made a 25 year career out of being a quick learner. Besides which point the games have started going out of their way to illustrate it.

Nope, you can't beat the game without learning atleast two, he stops you before the castle gates to say hello, too.

Or WW Link, aLttP Link, or LoZ Link, they all sound good to me.

Mostly because Composite Link stomps the thread.

The things that say optional are all optional. But I know you've used most if not all of them. 😮

Oh yeah

Pretty sure we're using OoT Link gais.

Need to unbury this. >_>

ALttP Link raeps dis thread though, Paste. It's basically unfair.

This list is funny shit. I suppose /technicly/ Deku nuts are optional, if you can dodge even accidentally picking them up for the entire game, as they don't come from a treasure chest.

Light arrows are absolutely not optional. Nor is the lens of truth. And fair enuff, but the fire and ice arrows are canon, and OoT Link is forced to get them by MM anyway. Note I've never really argued for use of things like the biggoron sword.

.____. Rusl's just a guy with a sword..

Fully admit that he's a quick learn, just not to some pro degree. Bow&arrow is the only example, the rest are nothing any shmuck is capable of.

Ok then, he leans two moves off him. Not really full sword training and the rest can be called uncanon. [But I find wrong to do go by that 😕]

The other Links lack the strength and speed needed.

Nah.

Touche. Link turns into a bunny and chokes him to death with his ears while he's unable to fight back, then. 😎

Gonna go about denying optional equipment, then? I'm sure Sora has piles of it.

If we're going to get into a binge on this optional thing, I think that all of Sora's drive forms are optional. Sure, he has them around, but the only one you're legitimately forced to use is the Valor form.

I don't think that all the reaction commands are required either. Gimme a minute and I'll find out what else you don't have to do.

Other keyblades but other than that no, he doesn't.

Sora flies away before he can do that.

Sorry Moo but Drives fall under "Abilities".

And a skilled swordsman. Link was trained by a skilled swordsman, and then promptly owned by his past self.

Except their exchange is obviously canon. 😐 The last time you meet him he mentions the past training he's given you and shit.

I mention Sephiroth fight is optional, and not necessarily canon ---> Binge on nitpicking everything that doesn't absolutely need to be done. Cool times.

slight difference between optional bosses without relevance to the story, and say, Deku Nuts that hang out in the forest you were raised in... Or receiving the highly plot relevant training from your past self, of which two parts are absolutely mandatory.

Not my fault I can sacrifice a fight with Sephiroth while simultaneously nerfing Alttp Link. :3

Moo we've had this convo the last time this thread was up. And you agree to all but Wisdom being canon.

Valor- Obvious canon.
Wisdom- N/A.
Master- Mickey canonly unlocks it.
Limit- Basically himself.
Anti- Formed since KH1.
Final- His true powers unlocked when he obtained his remaining powers from Roxas.

We know that Rusl is exceptionally skilled because?....

Yeah those two meetings. Him talking about past things is the same as the cutscene you get from beating Sephiroth. <-Links into Cloud's part of the game.
