Mankind has worked out how long/far it would take to reach to Jupiter.

Supes broke that record easily.

We then work out how many light years are in the distance it takes to get to Jupiter .

Then why is it they constantly say their 'using all their power' ? Let's look at the easiest reference. Vegeta.

Early in the series he blew up a planet easily. Later on he releases every inch of his super saiyan two power (note he blew up the planet before he was a super saiyan ) to try an d kill Majjin Buu .

From this proof that blast should have taken out earth , the sun and nearly every other planet for nearly a twenty/thirty planet radius.
