everything, supposedly its gonna be "un dia sin latinos" Which is silly since it's only the illegal immigrants we have a problem with not all latinos.
I like that point you make, but Latinos are at the front line of this issue. Isnt the motto as of 911 been United We Stand?...Thats what Latinos in the US are doing, standing behind the very principle this country was founded on Compassion and Opportunity to have a better life.

Right. They should do that in their own country(s).

Thats funny but true. The illegal immigrant issue is hot and you hear people crying we want a better life, USA was built on immigrants. Yeah super now why don't you go back and build up your current country rather then jumping on the free ride in the USA.

Or as I have said in the past put them through the process of becoming legal, learn the language, pay their dues and if they don't kick them out.

Well it seems to me that foreign/non-U.S. citizens are protesting against established U.S law while inside the U.S., while breaking U.S. law by being in the country illegally, lol.

First of all, they have no right to protest in the U.S. because they’re not U.S. citizens! Secondly, the nerve.

It’s like “Look at what were doing, U.S. Yea, were undocumented here but so what. And? What are you going to do about it? Nothing. As a matter of fact, were going to show you how defiant we are in your own country but marching through your American cities (illegally) with our own flags (not U.S. flags) in the hopes that you’ll be intimidated enough to not pass this law on May 1 and let us stay here illegally, overriding U.S. law. And we want all Americans to watch us pull it off, on U.S. soil, as foreign/non-US citizens. Take that. And oh yea, if we end up staying, and we f***ing better or else,(we’ll riot) you might as well unseal the borders and lets us all come in. And that’s an order. And we want to continue getting free social money from tax paying U.S. citizens every week for our illegals, too. And we don’t want to pay taxes because we’re not apart of this country.” And will you stop bothering us about learning to at least speak basic English (while on U.S. soil), jeez. It’s getting old already.”

Lol, it’s crazy.

Actually, the vast majority of the protesters are American, Fist.

The illegal ones are likely hiding in the kitchen of whatever restaurant they're working at. Porque ellos tienen miedo, pero no sin razón buena.

It amuses me to hear so many people have such a cry out to assist people when really they are assisting people who have broken the law.

Would people march in the streets for felons for any other crime? No that would be absurd however this one is ok because people just don't understand..............................lol yea ok.

I find it hard to believe that the -vast- majority of protesters are pro-illegal immigration U.S. American citizens, for some reason, Mota.

lol, and even then, if that were the case, they'd all be left winged wackos who're anti-constitutionalist anyway, so...they don't count.

They're not left winged wacko's; ellos tienen las familias en la situación, and some people se compadecen con ellos.

That's probably the most complicated issue of this problem. That's where I sympathize. It likes what do you do about the familial situation.

Other than that, either decision will be dramatically impactful, of course but still. To me, it's now more of a criminal issue now than it is a immigration issue. I'm not against immigration, the criminal element is what concerns me.

frist off do you know how hard it is to become legalized in this country? its a very very LONG process..it doesnt happen overnight. its intimidating how long of a process it is. These are undeducated people trying but some of them end up dropping in the process...and not all of the undocumented residents here dont pay taxes.

You know what thats all fine and dandy and you certainly can look at it from a humanitarian angle. Stop making excuses for them breaking the law and wanting to be rewarded.

I'm hoping that every person that doesn't show up to work on Monday takes it in the can and is fired. It won't happen but I can tell you that replacing someone after missed work like that is much easier.

If you want to change an extant law, the only way to do so is through protests and demonstrations. In the South, in the 60's, segregation was The Law and if a black man was to take a piss in a white restroom he would be jailed. They protested an unfair law and succeeded with Brown vs Board of Education, 1954. Those blacks in the 1960's were protesting a racist law, as are the Latinos of today.

thats a load of crap. You dont think the British looked at it as Americans "Breaking The Law" back then too. Give me a break....You fight for what you believe in. This issue is not going to be resolved by the 1st or 6 months from now or even 6 years from now.

I'm all for regulating Immigration, but not to the extent of detering peoples basic necessity and goals of bettering their lives and situations.

Nicely put.

The immigration laws in question are not inherently racist. The fact that the majority of the illegal immigrants in the United States are Mexican is incidental.

If we as American citizens follow Mexico's example on how they treat illegal immigrants, our illegal immigration problem wouldn't be as bad as it is today.

If they give these 12 million illegal immigrants amnesty and citizenship, what's stopping the next wave of 12 million illegal immigrants that jumps our borders from doing the exact same thing 10, 15, 20 years from now? This is bullsh!t.

On a lighter note, in May I'm headed down to Arizona for a week to volunteer my time to work with the minute men volunteers there. April and May see a lot of traffic during these two months. I'll be doing my part to try and help stem the tide of illegal immigration. 🙂

In my community a lot of people support my views. Even the Latinos who live in my community. You know why? Their freaking pi$$ed that a whole bunch of their country men and women can simply walk over the borders and not follow the legal processes to get into this country as they had to go through.

A load of crap is you holding a candle to events when this nation first started and why settlers came here, to a modern world and why people come here. Now when immigrants come here illegally its against an established Nations laws.

You keep talking about basic rights and goals. Let me help you here, its not the USA's job to facilitate your goals when you cannot even follow our rules. Period don't like it, well many other criminals don't either and it doesn't make it any more correct for an illegal immigrant to be able to get away with it. They had basic rights in Mexico, the right to live!

So in summary this isn't a British empire and stop using the lame "your conuntry was built this way" motto because a great many countries were built the same way. Thats not what we are today and yet we still have a greater influx of immigrants and people that want to live here over a great deal of other countries in the world. Clueless....................

I want my job that I'll hopefully have during highschool. I want my son, and his to be able to have one. I sincerely hope this law passes.
