Thats just how I see it. It's like that idea of will/dedication/guts is what determines the outcome. Now I know that magic >>> strength in most if not all cases, but theres also a limit to magic. For example, say someone puts a magical barrier around Galactus. Galactus punches it and that force that hits the barrier is so strong that it knocks the sorceror out or at least confuses his concentration or whatnot. I think The Hulk can get away with that at least.

Do we know which Hulk incarnation we're reading in Planet Hulk? It seems to be a cross between Professor and Savage Hulk.

no its not, gravage only made one appearnace and that was many many years ago. this incarnation is not really an incarnation its more like "banner-in-denial" hulk, or "the professor-finally-decided-to-grow-up" hulk. cuz first of all we all know that way back in the #300's of 3yrs ago featuring the old shcool story type of him running from the govt. we see that by using yoga and other meditative techniques he was able to reign in the hulk completely.

so much so that there hardly was a difference, and he was even able to do some super feats without transforming.like roughing up hooligans who was giving blonsky's wife a hard time in a diner, and using a cross shaped tombstone to dig his way into an underground govt. base, that was a prison built specifically for the absorbing man. Then by the time "Hard Knocks" with him and Ben Grimm roled around. he was still able to transform back and forth with no effort, and retain all of banner's intellect and even memory. and this is where he started to develop a little bit of the "fixit" savvy.

also in prelude to planet hulk, he was acting like the typical banner controlled hulk. so not that im tying to play doc samson here, but i think that this is just banner's way of a coping mechanism, he was shot off into space by ppl who claimed to be his friends, and consistently betrayed by everyone he ever trusted so by denying banner exists, he can deal with it easier, but any sane person can see that this is clearly not a new incarnation

Your right about the prelude to planet hulk thing, if your speaking of when he was tallking to Nick Fury right before going into space. I don't this Hulk is a new incarnation either. I hope there are no more incarnations and he retains this behavior from now on. It quite a refreshing personality. Because he is intelligent, and thinks things through more, but when he does get into a fight you kind of see some savage "dumblike" characteristics come out, i.e certain lines like "puny pinkies", or when he is fighting the red King and the king stabs him, and says "i see you still bleed", and Hulk says, "Stupid, that just makes me... MAD!". Classic.

Whatever happened to Zen Banner? Ive only seen like 2 pics, one where he is meditating and the other when he slugs Abomination.

I like to consider myself friends with the Hulk. I mean, yeah, we've had our run-ins and he eats all my food when he comes over... but we still go bowling on Friday nights.

God help Earth if Banner really has decided to stop giving a shit. Because there's nothing else holding Hulk back. nosweat Seriously, if he's not at 100% yet, there's a good chance he's going to be even stronger than he was previously. Given how ****ed up Banner's psyche is, a new personality is not impossible. But it may be something closer to the gravage Hulk idea. I think all the Hulk personalities (dominant ones, not one shots like Devil and Shrapnel) are starting to merge together. We have normal Hulk who wants to be left alone, Fixit's "**** this shit" attitude, Savage's strength and determination, and at least some of Professor's intelligence. IMO, we may actually be seeing the true personality of Dr. Bruce Banner.

I can't WAIT for Hulk to get back on Earth. I hope that Iron Man and Reed are the first to get abused.

Honestly though, I can't wait to see Hulk wreck havoc on earth. Marvel comics need to be taken back to it's roots, back when we had all the crazy feats. 😄

The only ones I want to see him really take down are Reed, Tony, and SHIELD.

When you think about it, he doesn't have much reason to go after any body else. And I am not looking forward to seeing him take out someone like Strange unless Strange's depowerment makes him as street-level as the Avengers team he becomes a part of. Beating Black Bolt may not be so bad if Hulk's durability increases significantly enough to withstand the scream.
