I wouldn't say that exactly. Surfer was beating Hulk and his team quite easily, then Hulk hit Surfer when he was preparing to block a hit from another direction. Hulk then pounded on Surfer while he was on the deck, but Surfer was up soon after. Surfer couldn't use his power cosmic in the fight either.

The Hulk was going easy in the lad so he went down to his level 😉

They were both severely weakened.
Planet Hulk #102 Spoiler. Some pictures on the bottom. Buy the comic!
Spoiler:
#102 starts off where The Hulk gets help from the Spikes. Come to find out, they were peaceful and fed off of energy in space until they landed on the planet. The children (there are Elders and children) went mad and began to eat anything in their path. They even ate each other. The emperor then sent them to the moon. They are hungry all the time. The Elders then told The Hulk that they would help them stop the children if he helped them with something. It then goes to where #101 ended, The Hulk approaching the Red King. The Red King is saying all that stuff how he is going to kill Hulk, everyone, etc. Hulk then bashes him up pretty good and is about to kill him until the Red King pushes a button and it causes the planets plates to shift. Everyone thinks they are doomed until The Hulk jumps into the cracks in the planets and pulls the plates back together. Everyone is stunned. The Hulk then hits the Red King one more time and he flies somewhere off in the distance. Some machine then comes by and tears him apart.
Next we see The Hulk celebrating with everyone and crushing Red Kings armor. Then we go and see some device that looks like a circlet on a chair that looks like a throne with The Hulk sitting there. Then the Spike Elders come saying stuff like "We are Hungry" and feed on The Hulk and he allows them to do so. Next frame we see the chair and the device, but no Hulk.

I just read the issue. There were inpressive strength and durability feats.
You got that right. That part reminded me of when he held up that entire mountain in Secret Wars. I also like how it was drawn to show that he was in pain, since he is not 100%. The determination of The Hulk... 😎

Do we know which Hulk incarnation we're reading in Planet Hulk? It seems to be a cross between Professor and Savage Hulk.

I also liked how he called the Red King stupid and said "the madder get...the stronger I get". 😎Do we know which Hulk incarnation we're reading in Planet Hulk? It seems to be a cross between Professor and Savage Hulk.
Yup, that part was cool, since he was bleeding too.
As far as which Hulk, Im not quite sure. He is still weak so I doubt it's Savage.

Someone needs to get whole scans of the plate thing into the Hulk respect thread.
Then no one would buy it and you know the rest. But someone might post it all, since there was some pictures there already that were posted. Only about 18 pages I think?

Is all this stuff going on in planet hulk making the hulk stronger (upgraded)?
That's the question that we are all asking, as we are not sure which incarnation this is.
From the general perspective that I see, seems like people think its a mix of Savage Hulk and Professor. Professor being the fact that he can talk and such and Savage for the strength I guess. It must be noted that he is not 100% as of yet, so we will have to wait until World War Hulk to see how strong he actually is. In the next issue, he takes a queen from what I read on Marvels description of #103.

Whichever incarnation, Earths "superheroes" better watch out.
Perhaps, but he would need to get back to his old level of strength and durability, because in his current state he'd get his ass kicked. But I'm getting the impression he's on his way back up, which is great 🙂
Edit: actually, I don't think he will. Since Hulk's intelligence and combat skills have greatly increased, Marvel likely wants to preserve a bit of the current balance.
