There have been occasional hints that the Blue Beetle scarab is not as benevolent as it might seem. In Blue Beetle #18 (1987), the scarab's power was able to resurrect Dan Garrett, driving him into battle with Ted Kord - apparently intending that Ted take up the scarab and become its new bearer. Dan was able to fight off the scarab's influence, shattering it; the strain of the struggle, however, killed him once again. Who, or what, used the scarab to resurrect Dan - or whether the scarab itself did so - remains open to debate.
Normally, a Green Lantern ring will 'buzz' when sensing magic. When a ring gets close to the Blue Beetle scarab, however, it starts sparking, as if afraid. (Infinite Crisis #6)
In the case of at least one ring-bearer - Guy Gardner - the scarab also triggers what can only be described as a 'super-migraine', along with the impulse to kill the scarab's host. Guy describes the feeling he gets from the scarab as wrong and evil. (Blue Beetle #1)
The scarab seeks to evade Green Lantern rings at the earliest available possibility (Infinite Crisis #6); if it can't, then the host will most likely find themselves fighting the Lanterns.
Anybody notice Alexander breaking the 4th wall? His search for Earth Prime ends with him looking at the reader and reaching out for us, acknowledging that Earth Prime is still the real world.
Guess that means SBP is our Superman. 😂

It has to be. As he says "YOU!" and looks at the reader and reaches out. Just a subtle nod to E-Prime being the real world.
Psycho Pirate also had knowledge of the real world... saying things like "Don't tell the wolf man that I survived... He'll come back for me. . ." Obviously speaking of Marv Wolfman, the Crisis mastermind.

I like it when they break the 4th wall. Deadpool does it on a continual basis.........

This issue was way better than last one. I knew somehow or someway Jonah Hex was going appear in the IC. It was great to see Green Lantern coming to help Batman. Those two have been having their differences in the past. They proven team work is important.
The ending was huge blow for me. I really REALLY detest and hate Superboy Prime. All these Dc Comics writters are really weak. They have kill one caracther to make another one a real badass.....that's just lame. They did it in the first issue and they keep doing again. Hey lame brains at DC! I dare you to make a good story without killing a character! Yeah! I dare you!
looking forward to the grand finale.
