Ryu vs Jin

i was scanning though this and i saw alot of posts saying sf is out of tekkens league, it wasnt until now i realised they were all from the same person. street fighter is pretty crazy, but dont underestimate tekken. not only did heihachisurvive the explosion, it was after he had been in an intense fight with kazuya, and jin, and beaten up badly by jin. on top of that he still had the strength and durability to trash numerous jack 5s which are pretty big steel death machines. and jin proved to be his superior. and jin has the ability to go devil. i really dont know whod win but its not a huge mismatch.

I think there was more to the argument than that, alot of people jumped in with both feet saying Jin's power, speed and skill is leagues above Ryu as well...

IMO, Ryu wins, simply because his feats are much more pronounced and are on a level higher than Jins. Speed? Ryu's Got close quarters bullet dodging, Not running away and hiding behind a car. Strength, Well I see Jin Supporters using the Tekken 6 video of him leveling Lili for about 20 feet. Ryu's Shin Shoryuken sends guys like Hugo and Zangief 40 feet into the air straight up.... Plus, it is oficcial that SF3 Ryu is as strong as Akuma was in SFA2, and back then, Akuma was sinking entire islands with single punches..

Skill? ryu has more than enough experience to handle anything Jin's got.

I suck at measuring distance, the shin shoryu ken really launches you 40 feet?

and paul smashed an giant rock with a single easy punch already in tekken 1🙂

ryu picked a boulder up with a guy sitting on it and the guy was holding a boulder himself

Yeah, if you look at the speed they go up after the last hit, they easily clear the top of the stage (Literally they are the same height as in the Vs series.) And the speed with they actually land from the move, well, it's clear to anyone who watches the move, sending 150KG + guys that size that height is easily more powerful than sending a 60 KG girl 20 feet horizontally..

Oh and as for comparing Paul Phoenix's Boulder Crushing Phoenix Smasher, well, island crushing puts boulder smashing to shame by many orders of magnitude.

Although the Stories from the movies are non-canon, Capcom has said that the animated movie and the Alpha series is how they would fight in the real world.

oh and other than the dodging bullets, everything I listed is from the games.

And what paul used to destroy the builders was indeed the Phoenix Smasher.

ryu wins by ease if the abilities in the alpha-movie is true. i have seen it, how he fights zangief and that weird man who drains the children and the robot... no doubt, ryu wins

I know alpha the movie was confirmed, because it was realy good and captured the spirit of street fighter perfectly. but, the animated movie fighting was pretty crappy compared to aplha, did capcom really say the animated movie is canon example of their moves, because ryu could barely throw out one hadouken without taking a year.

It depends, Sagat never reached Ryu before he fired it, and the one on bison was fairly quick.

The Street Fighter 2 V series, now THOSE Hadoukens too forever...

But yeah, Alpha was the prime example Capcom stated as being Canon.

Sneaky... they said everything was Canon, but made them in order so as not to discount anything, but made what they wanted higher in the order...

Who confirmed this saiki, I remeber tiamat was the one who confirmed it. if alpha generations is a canonical example, than ryu stomps.

you know, in the danish serie "Mufassa og Søn", there is a vs-serie, where there many "what-if" fights... mufassa fough akuma in one, and won! they didnt wanted him in hell after the shin goku satsu...
