yea someone should have told them you cant just keep walking people, at some point you actually have to pitch to someone.

Royals sweep the Tigers

wow Braves just did something I have never seen before...

So Resop is pitching in the 10th. He gets 1 out and a lefty comes up. So the Braves do a double switch brining in a left RP to play LF and then have him and Resop switch defensive positions.

So now we have Resop moving from pitcher to LF and the LF (who is a RP moving in to pitch)

Ok so at this point its not that odd except they are leaving a pitcher in to play outfield.

So the new pitcher gets his guy out and then another double switch. This time an OF is put in at pitcher and them him and Resop switch defensive positions. So now we have an OF back playing LF and Resop has become the pitcher again.

So pretty much they were able to bring in a left to pitch to one guy and then let the original pitcher go right back to pitching lol.

I have to say as a Reds fan I was very happy to see Johnny Cueto make an amazing MLB debut! 7 innings, 1 hit, no walks, 10 Strikeouts. Unfortunately the only hit was a HR, but it is the Great American Ballpark... Still So close to a perfect game in his debut! I hope he keeps it up. I plan on going to see Volquez pitch sunday, which should be good too. I haven't been this excited to be a reds fan...well since 1990 lol.

I've always liked/followed the Reds. Nice to see the young guys do good. They have plenty of prospects that are supposed to be stud players. They better not be studs this weekend though against the Phillies. 13

Yeah that Braves game was crazy. And the pitcher that came right back in blew it lol.

Was exciting to see the youngster be so dominate but lets be fair here, he was far form a perfect game. Even without the home run he still would have needed to finish off the last 2 innings.

I am sure this will be similar to Lincecum last year though, he is gonna take his lumps and get shelled a few times, but no doubt hes got nasty stuff.

That is true, I did make it sound a lot better than it was, but it was still a hell of a debut.

Another great start from a young red! Edinson Volquez went 5 and 1/3 innings with 8 Strike outs , 2 walks, and 1 run on 5 hits. Not a bad outting at all! Especially against the Phillies Offense. Reds won 8-2.

The Tigers start the season with a slump.....whoa...and they look good on paper. ermm

The lineup looks good on paper, but it also looks good with Granderson/Miggy/Shef/Polanco all healthy and none of them are. Also on paper they look like they have a terrible bullpen and not the strongest rotation.

Roid ball looks like perhaps a good season

Dontrelle Willis is all hype imo now, he had one or two really good seasons with the Marlins but I don't think he has done too much in the last couple of years.

Yes he has, he's lost a lot

he had a no-no for a while the other day.. just ignore the 7 walks lol

Hahahaha......that's funny.

I'm looking forward to this season. For the past couple of seasons I havnt really paid attention to the Jays that much but this year I think I might watch alot more games.

They look really good.

Their staff is really coming together, if they were in a crappy NL division their pitching would be lights out with Halliday, AJ, McGowan, and Marcum. Rios is a pretty amazing player, but other than that the offense is a concern for me especially facing some of the high powered AL east guys.

Their offense looks fine actually, they got speed and power. I do wish Joe Carter was still playing though. He used to be my favorite player... and I'm a Dodger fan. WE need better offense!

I dont think the offense is not much of a problem.

Will they make the playoffs, that might not happen due to Yankees and Red Sox just getting more players but I think it can happen.

Rios, Wells, Thomas, Overbay, Rolen are good enough hitters to easily win alot of games.

I'm still pissed that Ed Wade declined the trade offer Alex Rios for Jon Lieber. face-plain

I've been a Dodger fan ever since I was little. The Dodgers will only win about 75-80 games and then it will be a wait and see approach to see if Joe Torre leaves. The Dodgers should have signed Miquel Cabrera..
