Saying someone is the greatest can be argued but not proven. Quan Chi is the greatest sorcerer and imo character in mk. He's the ultimate manipulator and prevailed against the heroes at the end of deadly alliance. Not many villains can argue they beat the heroes. That's what Quan Chi brings to the table.

Liu's a real argument although I really hate the character. I think Raiden would beat Liu Kang. Sub Zero might be cool I always favored Scorpion over him myself.

Sub Zero is the epitome of cool, pun intended. Scorpion was great in the beginning, but I prefer the evolution of Sub Zero's character over Scorpions.
