I don't know how often you really check the SW forums outside of EU and VS but the truth is that the mods really don't post in there beyond moderating duties. If a topic comes up that's good and hasn't been done to death, then I might see them in there on occassion, but other than that, you'd be hard-pressed to see any of the SW mods that have posted in there regularly inside the past two years. Rex is the sole exception, and he still bitches on a regular basis on the idiocy that occurs in there.

So, everyone else besides the Mods are Idiots, then? That's basically what you said. No . . . That's EXACTLY what you said.

I can guarantee there are many members in that Forum that are smarter than you and could out debate you.

Rex also socializes with us members in the Battle Bar and will often post in some of the Versus and EU threads.

Yeah, he brutally killed his mother in law and apparently woke up a couple of seconds after he was trying to strangle his father in law. Runs to the police station, turns himself in.

It makes me wish fervently for the black and white cases, this is another one of those shaded ones in between. Grr.

Yep, my partner's the other Crown prosecutor. I get three witnesses, go me.

One thinks that he was technically conscious during the time of the killing but may not have realised what he had done until after.
The other thinks it was because of sleepwalking, which is not an illness of the brain.

And the third's the accused's mommy, but she's not nearly as important as the two neurologist specialists.

One or two people probably got off of murder because of this.

I'd get a second opinion. For one thing, we don't traditionally let people off for killing under the influence, that's still manslaughter 1, last I checked. Something like 6-12 years, minimum. And in order to successfully argue sleepwalking under the influence of alcohol, they'd have to establish that the perp was -indeed- sleepwalking. Alcohol should be pretty evident at this point.

And really, do you know how long it takes to choke someone to death? Unless he had her in the sleeper hold, that had to take a few good minutes.

He stabbed his mother in law, attempted to strangle his father in law.

Neurologists did tests on him and they established that he was sleepwalking, they were skeptical of it at first as well, like you were.

And you can't be guilty of a criminal offense if you can't control your actions at the time, as this Mr. Hudson dude was. He can't have developed any premeditation either, he was cool with them and the subconscious mind really differs from the conscious.
