YOU are the one claiming to be better than others in a certain forum. There is an ignore feature. Put someone on your ignore list and never again do you have to read their posts. The ONLY reason I brought up my join date is because you were being an ass to FS because of his join date.
I don't know how often you really check the SW forums outside of EU and VS but the truth is that the mods really don't post in there beyond moderating duties. If a topic comes up that's good and hasn't been done to death, then I might see them in there on occassion, but other than that, you'd be hard-pressed to see any of the SW mods that have posted in there regularly inside the past two years. Rex is the sole exception, and he still bitches on a regular basis on the idiocy that occurs in there.
Why the hell would you create a thread like this in a forum where 99.9% of the people couldn't care less about the SWVS forum when the sole intent, as it appears to be, was to flaunt your "superiority"?
Yar, we be pirates.
I think you're misinterpretting the purpose of antediluvian to begin with. We prefer keeping debates on a civil and coherent level within the Star Wars versus forum. The purpose of Antediluvian is not to purge noobs, or to be an elitist society. We let people in who have demonstrated the ability to debate. We're being no more elitist than your typical college or business.
You can't come in here and spout that we're being elitist, and then lump "all posters" (in caps, I may add) of the SW versus forum as annoying and demonstrative of idiocy. I could just as easily lump that ALL POSTERS in forum X couldn't hold the jock of most of the antediluvians in an actual debate, but I won't. Why? Because the purpose of antediluvian isn't to form an old boys club, it's to gather like-minded individuals who prefer coherent and logical argumens versus rampant fanboyism.
If you want to criticize that purpose, then fine. But don't lump the group that seeks to promote intelligent debate as demonstrators of idiocy. We have our fun, we happen to like the SW versus, and we don't like to have to wade through pages upon pages of bad posting and lack of logic every time we log on, so we form a group of members whom we can trust to be capable of logically analyzing a situation regardless of their personal biases.
Again, if you don't understand or don't recognize the purpose of a group, don't come criticizing their purpose, that certainly doesn't come across as being particularly humble yourself. You simply overgeneralized the entirety of the SWversus population and antediluvians in general.
If we ignored everyone that annoyed us, we would be even more elitist, as we'd deem that practically every non-antediluvian isn't worth talking to. Also, the philosophy used here is that we confront the problem, instead of running away from the versus forum. We're not about to let any individual guilty of fanboyism and illogical banter ruin our idea of a good concept and healthy debate.

That's great, I assure you. And maybe if said SW mods were more active we wouldn't have an antediluvian at all. If the mods find the section particularly aggravating, I assure you it's because of the lack of leadership underneath the forum. Janus is as close to a leader figure as you have in that subforum, and he has no moderation powers whatsoever. I fail to see how ignoring the forum altogether equates into grounds to "*****" about it "on a regular basis."
In short, we don't antagonize anyone that hasn't labeled and attacked us without warning, nor do we throw around our weight around anyone that is not guilty of said fanboyism and illogic that detract from our experiences in our chosen forum. I fail to see how that's flaunting any "superiority," perhaps you could enlighten me.
If Antediluvian is "elitist," then so is Microsoft, who doesn't hire anyone, so is the club, who requires membership, or the bar, which requires people to be 21.
