So, out of all the press conferences from Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft, which do you all think have had the most impressive announcements and showings?
I was really impressed with Nintendo's, made me really want a Wii, but Microsofts was very exciting, specifically the announcement of GTA4 was by far the biggest surprise of E3 so far.
I thought Sony's was underwhelming in comparison, wasn't any real big showings besides FFXIII and Gran Turismo, and a lot of people weren't happy with the price announcement.
Nintendo stole the Pre-E3 show IMO. The only thing that could have made it better was announcing the price.
Microsoft's was okay and I'm happy to hear about new peripherals, and new features coming to the system, not to mention the games shown, the graphics have improved since first batch games.
Sony, the EyeToy demo was the main point I liked, I hope Microsoft develops something similar later one because I am not buying a PS3. Gran Turismo was awesome looking, especially that Grand Canyon track, but then again this was a specific build for E3 and not an actual game that will be on the system. The true release should be the same though, or better.
The problem with the Sony conference was there were a bunch of no name games shown for the PS3 (wtf is Afrika?) and there weren't any big surprises and world exclusive showings. Their biggest surprise was a lazy ripoff of Nintendo's controller.
Microsoft had big surprises in store with the exclusive first announcements and showings of a lot of big time games, plus the GTA4 shocker, and the Halo 3 trailer. Also some genuinely exciting announcements about Xbox Live Arcade, which could end up giving Nintendo's virtual console a run for its money, were made and some really neat stuff for the PC format.
And of course Nintendo showed the new Mario and Metroid games, which is pretty much enough to get them by just on those alone, but they had some other cool things too, demonstrations of the new controller, and some other neat things. But like you said, too bad they didn't announce the price.
In the end though, I gotta give Microsoft the edge - GTA4 + Halo 3 - lame copycat gimmicks + Forza and Fable 2 and Too Human and Gears of War + Crysis = The winner. Though Nintendo was very close for me.

I wouldnt be surprised if some news report came out: "Man, aged 23, committed suicide today after failing to reach a conclusion on which next generation console to buy. Only able to afford one console, the man spent 7 days deciding whether to buy a Sony PS3, an Xbox360 or a Nintendo Wii. Unable to come to a decision, he then pulled out a gun and shot himself in the head".

Nintendo sounds like they want to launch around the same time as PS3 and seeing as how PS3 already anounced the pricing, Nintendo will surely anounce a price tag that is far below both PS3 and 360 which should steer people away from both consoles. Chances are I might even get Nintendo first then 360 and PS3 last because of the prices.
