There is no such thing as Pre/Post Crisis Darkseid. Darkseid is as powerful now as he was in past showing. Darkseid has already owned SS, he just erases Namor out of existance, teleports Hulk into a blackhole, and while Strange poses the most immediate threat, he takes care of him too.
Let's say for a second, that Darkseid only gets beat by Superman because Superman knows him so well by now.
Coming on the scene, brand new, against a team that isn't very familiar with him, I think he would at least give them a good fight.
Defenders 5/10. No, Darkseid 5/10.

In theory, if he really did intend to target Supergirl, his OB would have still gotten to her and killed her. In theory, if he did target Superman, his beams would have gone around Supergirl and hit Supes directly. In theory, he can..............

How exactly is SS and Strange going to beat Darkseid?Even though Kirby himself has said Darkseid and Galactus are equal, imo, Darkseid is just a notch, a small notch, below Galactus(not starving, but not fully powered either).
Darkseid at the height of his power has shown he's higher than both lords of chaos and order and promethian giants.
Then you take a moment to consider that Galactus and Eternity are siblings.
Eternity and Lord of Order Kismet are on panel the respective same character in opposite universes.
The Celestials also have a DC Equivilent, the Promethian Giants or Millenium Giants, who Darkseid have proven mightier than at the height of his power.
In the Crisis, Brainiac [probably the smartest being in the universe] acknowledges Darkseid as the only being powerful enough to help stop the Anti-Monitor.
