Surfer does not have the abilities, nor the power to take out Superman Prime.
He's not a run of the mill Kryptonian, just in case you hadn't noticed.
There have been tons of characters that have been taken out by Superman Prime who many people thought should/would/could beat his ass.
The fact that he's consistently whooping ass proves them wrong. We can't just deny the kid's power level because he's beating powerful characters who posters think are out of his league.
Surfer isn't comparable now.

If your talking about red sun radiation, it wont work. Look what he did to Red star...
The only level of red sun energy that has been able to drain him was being flown through the core of a red sun... Even then, he was still recovering from a year without a yellow sun iirc, thus the suit. So, surfer will go down exactly like ion.

Well in theory ION should have completly kicked his ass but the exact opposite occured. Im not doubting Surfers abilities but Prime is faser,stronger and overall just a more powerful character. Supes would speedblitz before Surfer has time to do anything...I dont even think it would be that far fetched to say prime could even 1-shot surfer. Odin did it afterall.
