Surfer can literally CHANGE SBP's molecular structure, so he wouldn't even BE SBP anymore.
Or, Surfer could just take away his power.
Or, Surfer can just keep him from receiving power anymore.
There are just a lot of things he can do. Hell, SBP needed a suit to do anything, because he is so vulnerable to losing his charge.

moment the yellow sun energy touched his hand, they were like ants to him... he didn't even notice them. Surfer is powerful, but I doubt that he could even remain consious if he went through what SBP did, even with his power boost.
lando005: How often does Surfer ever use his powers effectivly though. On paper Surfer should be able to outperform Thanos 10/10 just by sheer feats alone, yet he is written like a complete tard who curls up into Thanos punching bag. Surfer has better versality but he is hardly written to his full potential...and he tends to job from time to time. SMP is outclasses top tier dudes right now....he is being showcased to be at least a skyfather character now.

Ion could do all of these things also, but he didn't have time. Even with Daxamite reflexes. Also, Red Star tried that too, even while SBP was weakened, and it wasn't enough.
Also, when has surfer done any of this to anyone on his level?

Actually dominate a known and substantiated top tier without extenuating circumstances surrounding the win?
I do think he'd beat Surfer two ways from sunday, but i give him that nod based on what he's shown in feats, not combat.
