Me and my friend are playing through co-op online on Hardcore (then we'll do insane) and so far we are at Act 4. He's always Marcus and I'm always Dom. It's hard because when we split up he confuses this game with Halo 2 and just charges at the Locust.
Playing through the game on Insane is just as important as playing through Halo 1 & 2 on Legenadary.

Halo 2 in my opinion was no as hard as Halo 1 on legendary. I am still on hardcore on Act 3, Insane is gonna be brutal, I am having a hard enough time with these damn Locusts at this level!

That's one of the problems of the game is that hardcore is perfect until near the end where it becomes really hard.
This game blows really hard.
This is the only game I've bought without renting first and it's the only 360 game I regret buying. I just thought after all the good reviews it got it would be one of the best games on the 360 and it turned out to be the worst. Not one of the worst but it's "the" worst.
They walk way too slow, and you have to hold down the A button just to get them to go faster. In terms of player speed it's like PDZ and I couldn't stand that game either.
The maps are way too dark and the single player is god awful. And it isn't that long. The online play only goes up 4 vs 4 and to me that is not next gen.

Thank God we all have different tastes & opinions. Shame you believe GOW is worse than Rumble Roses, Superman Returns & even DOAXBV2. Wow. I only hope I never see things from your perspective. I'd probably feel like Bizarro.

You think that because the campaign is short and the multiplayer is 4 vs 4 that it's not next generation? The gameplay and graphics are what matter most, and with every little amount of detail that goes into a game like this, obviously it will make the campaign a bit shorter because it takes a longer time to develop. As for the multiplayer, its some of the best the 360... or any other console has to offer right now so obviously the limited amount of players is not a bad thing.

The best game on the 360 is still last gen and it was made for the Xbox....Halo 2.
They still haven't made a game better than that.
Thank God for opinions. Why state opinions as facts? I didn't say Superman Returns is one of the worst games, but it certainly isn't among the best in my book.
So far I haven't touched Halo 2 since GOW and R6Vegas came out.
Halo 2 was great. I've played it for more than 2 and a half years, but I needed a break. GOW provided that for me, and many other players seeing how currently GOW is seeing more players and Xbox live matches than even Halo 2. Why else do you think Bungie announced new maps for Halo 2, exclusive to the 360? Exactly.

The reasons you state are what the game is. If you dont like the gameplay because its too slow than thats fine. But that doesnt equal crappy.

It's a horrible shooter that's what this game is, overrated and boring.
Open world.
Sidequests...the only difference is that you save people instead of killing them.
Missions that you find in the world.
What's sooo great about Superman?
I can say that Gears Of War is good because the graphics are soo detailed, the sound is great, the bosses are fun to fight against, the AI is smart, each level is different than the last, the story is somewhat original while the setting is too. The world that is involved feels real by the characters running through out, to the scripted events scattered around each level.
